The city of Esiors Haven was bustling by as early as five in the morning. Thankfully such sounds did not affect is small suburbs so Matt was wakened by his alarm clock at eight am. He yawned stretching before swinging his legs over his bedside and rising to start his day. A quick breakfast and he was out to his small stable to tend to his sylesti and companion Bluestar. He settled down with a book as his qitari grazed in the small field. "Seems like its going to be a quiet day eh, boy." Little did he know that the mornings quietness would not last long, and it would be some time before he had another quiet morning.

Tired, I pulled myself into a sitting position on my bed. It was useless to try to go back to sleep. My hand reached over to the spot where I knew my phone would be. Dreading what I would see, I went into my texts. Sure enough, I had a text from who I worked for. In the text, they told me what they wanted me to steal for them, tonight. Getting up, I pulled on my clothes to get ready for another day of saving animals, and another night of stealing from innocent people Even though I was rich, I had to do it, or they would find me, and kill me. "Mrow?" My winged Lighira got up from her spot on my bed and stretched. "Hello Sarafine, good morning." Though we both knew there was nothing good about it.(first one!)

Ryder rubbed her bleary eyes and she ben't down to lift a crate of oranges. She had been up sense 5:00 am working. Moving and organizing produce in the back of the large food store she had been working in for the last few days. She would get the odd, legal, job every now and then, but she never stayed for long. Always moving around, stealing, working, and moving again. At the moment she was scoping out a large mansion on the outskirts of the city. She would jog past it every night with her faithful Zolnixi Criptic. Pretending just to be a regular gal out for a run with her Pet. As far as she could tell they didn't have too high security, and she could probibly sneak in undetected without to much hindrance. She had left Criptic in the house she was occupying at the moment with strick instructions not to ruin any furniture. The owner of the house was out at the moment, on a cruse or some such thing. They didn't have great security and it had been a simple matter of breaking in and setting up residence. As time continued to crawl by, Ryder's mind started to wander and she didn't look where she was going. Tripping over a step-ladder used to get things of the higher shelves, she crashed to the floor. The small crate of pomegranates she had been moving shattering and spilled its contents all over the floor. Crickets! Her head aching where she had smashed it on the floor, she scrambling around trying to gather the crates contents before anyone came to investigate the crash.

Matt looked up as a car turned down the lane. It was unusual for anyone to drive out here. Let alone in a fancy car. Matt raised and eyebrow and headed to the house patting his Qitari on the shoulder as he passed. "Looks like we might have a case."

He jogged up to the house arriving as the car door opened. A man with graying hair stepped out and opened the passenger side. From that seat emerged a woman. She looked up and gave a strained smile. "Detective Starr I presume. Matt nodded, "At your service. What can I help you with?" The woman hesitated. "I am in need of your particular...skills, but I would prefer not to discuss it out here." Matt nodded, "Sensitive information is often a part of my business. Shall we step into my office?" The woman nodded and followed him inside with her aide trailing them.
