Hi there, I'm really new and I'd love to get involved in the forums. I was wondering if there were any other queer-identified players on here? I'm genderqueer and I use they/them/their pronouns. I'd love to meet other queer folks on Sylestia!

I don't believe there are that many people like that here, but I think there's a few fellow players like that. But anyhow, everyone is welcome on this site. :) Just as long as you're nice and polite, everything will be great. :D I can help you around the site if you want any help.

To be honest, I think this site's userbase is generally too young to really have formed their own opinions on this matter - although we did have one player a few months ago that said they were trans and was quite open about it (however they were, let's just say, far from being the nicest person and I believe they ended up quitting). It's not that this site is unaccepting of LGBTQ+ people, but it doesn't exactly have a thriving community of them, either.

I say this as a nonbinary (any pronouns) queer, and this is just my view on the matter. Who knows, there may be others I haven't talked to yet 0:

Yeah, I believe there's quite a few of people around my around, which is currently 13. xD Surprisingly, you can't really tell who's as old as most think here.
But as knowledgeable as we seem, I think I can mostly speak on behalf of those my age that most of us haven't really thought much about our sexual orientation.

As for people falling under the LGBTQ+ stuff, I can actually think of quite a few users who fall under one category or another, and quite a few who I've seen say in one place or another that they're non-binary in one way or another. It's generally not a very heavily advertised thing as far as I've seen, however, but then gender identity and sexuality are rarely discussed topics, I believe due mainly to the largely young userbase, like Shrike said.

There are some lurking around, though! And most of them I'll leave to self-identify themselves, but if you're looking for someone similar to chat with, my significant other is Jaybird on here, and he's always willing to chat with others. x3 And while I may not fall under the LGBTQ+ brackets myself, my inbox is always open as well, and I tend to be fairly educated about most of it, thanks to being engaged to a non-binary person.

As many have said, the topic just doesn't come up much around here. Chat is usually full of talk of pets (finding, selling, trading, lol!) To be honest, I find that it just doesn't matter around here, so I don't usually offer up my position lol. (I doubt 99% of people around here even know that I'm bi with a girlfriend XD Nor do I think they would particularly care.) I have seen others around that identify under various spokes of the umbrella, but, again, none of them really make a big deal of it.

And.... as others have mentioned, a good deal of the user-base is pretty young, so are either unknown, questioning, or undefined in some way (hell, my answer changed between the ages of 18 and 26 about 4 times, so 'youth' really doesn't mean anything either. And I wouldn't rule out the answer changing again XD)

That's why I love this site so much. xD The userbase doesn't bash on anyone.

It's not discussed a lot, mostly because it just doesn't relate to most things here(not that doesn't keep other, ah, controversial topics from cropping up).
