DISCLAIMER: I tried not to be too detailed, but I do say a few things about my surgery and the labor process which might be construed as graphic. Please do not read if this might make you uncomfortable.
Alright, finally have enough free time and energy to get this posted. As many of you on the site are aware, especially those of you who frequent the chat room, I have been expecting a baby and I thought it would be a nice thing to do to make a thread to officially let everyone know he has arrived in the world. :)
So on Tuesday, October 27th at 6:34PM my little boy was born. I went into the clinic on Monday morning for an ultrasound and they told me that my amniotic fluid level was super low, which we'd known for a while, but it was even lower and baby hadn't gained any weight between ultrasounds, so the doctor decided that it was time to induce me and get the little guy out. Once I got to the hospital they started the medicines to help get my body to start laboring and contracting. I progressed a little bit by Tuesday afternoon, but enough for the doctors to be totally satisfied. They tried to manually break my water, and when they did the baby's heart rate crashed on the monitor. That was when they decided to do an emergency C-Section and wheeled me to the operating room. Baby's heart rate came back up once we go there, but again the doctors just agreed that it was time to get baby out. Unfortunately, because I wasn't reacting strongly enough the the epidural to numb me during surgery, I had to be be completely knocked out.
It was a very scary process, but once I woke up in the recovery room they told me that baby was doing very excellent. He was in the NICU but not for anything serious. He didn't need any help breathing at all. I didn't get to see him until Wednesday morning because I was still being treated for my high blood pressure via IV and couldn't leave my room. Seeing him for the first time was amazing, I was actually shocked by how good he looked because he was only 4lbs, 10oz at birth. I was expecting him to look a lot scrawnier but just looked like a normal baby, just a little bit small.
Long story short, it was a very long week for both me and baby, but I'm getting ready to go home tomorrow and he should be able to come home Monday or Tuesday. I would like to thank everyone who has already congratulated and who has given me support the last few months during the pregnancy, and thank everyone who will be the same once I post this in advance. I am always so amazed by the awesomeness of the community on this website. Its really a wonderful thing to experience such kindness. :)
And now for the part I'm sure everyone has been waiting for...PICTURES! :D

Baby feet! The darkness is from the ink when they did his footprints. He has daddy's toes. :P
And a close-up of the munchkin's face.
Thank you once again to everyone. Congratulations and positive comments are more than welcome. If you have any questions for any reason please feel free to PM me as I may not check this thread very regularly. :)

Congratulations! He is gorgeous! I'm so happy for you, and I pray you find the years ahead as much fun as I did with my own children!
Enjoy these moments and get as many pics as you can - they grow up way too fast. :D
