Well, everyone who gave it a try has submitted their proposed Fall Theme for the Zolnixi (and all other pets) now, and there's nothing to do but wait. What will the new Zolnixi Theme(s) look like? We'll just have to see.
Ever wonder what the very first ever Zolnixi Theme was? (Hint: it wasn't the Patriotic Zolnixi. Those are beautiful, but they weren't first.)
You can own a Purebred offspring of the First Theme. These offspring all have a minimum of two trait points. If you want to win one, copypaste the questions below into a PM, answer the questions, and message them to me, SpaceElf1. Please don't post your answers here, since that will give away some answers to the questions.

The Questions:
1. What is the name of your Starter Pet?
2. Which of your Sylesties is your favorite?
3. What are your favorite and second-favorite Zolnixi traits?
4. If your Sylesties could talk, what would they tell me about you?
5. Is "Zolnixi" just another word for "kitsune"?
6. The first Zolnixi Theme was not the Patriotic Zolnixi, so what WAS the first Zolnixi Theme called?
7. Which of these is the most common eye color for Themed Zolnixies: "some shade of yellow," "a shade of green," or "a color so pale it's almost white"?
8. Why would you like to own a Purebred offspring of the first Zolnixi Theme?

OK, I realize with the Festival, people are distracted, but I wanted to give as many people as possible a chance to complete their answers. I actually ended up with exactly 1 more winner than I had Springtime Zolnixies to give away, so instead of randomizing the winners to see who got which Springtime and who was the unfortunate one person who didn't get anything, I added one of my own Springtimes into the mix. (Not going to tell you which one.)
Remember, if you ever do not want your Springtime Nixi and don't wish to sell her/him, I will take the Nixi back. Also you notice I point out details about the Nixies' colors. Breeding Springtimes is tricky because of color drift. In particular, Color One may tend toward an ugly mustard brown or even grey, and Color Three and Mutation Color Three both tend to become washed out. Therefore, if you want to breed Springtimes, please think about the colors of the pets you're breeding, not just the traits. If a todd's Color One is a tad mustardy, for example, breed him to a vixen wtih a light, bright golden Color One.
Here are the winners (numbers generated by Random.org; screen captures available if anyone wants to see them).
And here are the Springtimes--
#1 "Monty"
Never bred, Carried Back Stripes and Talismans, excellent color, even on Mutation Color Three.
#2 "Zoltan"
Monty's full sibling, with the same traits. Never bred, and his colors are, if possible, slightly better than Monty's (except for Color Three; Monty's got him there).
#3 "Endal"
Never bred, Carried Back Stripes, Advanced Runes, and Bandana. Color good, to very good, to excellent, and Mutation Color Three is superb.
#4 "Peter"
Peter's colors are good to excellent, although his Mutation Color Three is too pale. If breeding for Springtimes, consider breeding him only to vixens who have a strong Mutation Color Three. He's still a teenager and has Carried Regal Markings, Advanced Runes, Tri Tails, and Ball Mask.
#5 "Archie"
You'll notice Archie's Color One is, in fact, just a bit mustardy. However, all his other colors are very good to excellent, so just watch that Color One! He has Vis Banded Stripes, Hidden Back Stripes, and Vis Tri Tails. (We do not yet have a second Mutation Two trait for Springtimes, but my Tamed todd, Alban Eiler, has a date with a Greater Mutator in his future!)
All these Springtimes were named after real-world dogs who won awards for doggy heroism. Ping or PM me if you would like particulars.
Also, feel free to make suggestions re what trait I should give to Alban Eiler--
I can't wait to join the New Mutants!
Since he has Advanced Runes, the only way to give him a Gene Three trait would be to delete the trait he already has in that slot. I'm not saying I won't do it; I'm just saying that if you think he simply must have a new Gene Three trait, you're going to have to be very persuasive. I will set him up for public breeding after I mutate him.
Hope you enjoyed the game and are enjoying the Festival!
