My username was supposed to be flightedRaven, but the system changed it to Flightedraven. It kinda bothers me, and I was wondering if there is a way to change it?

I capitalized the 'R' for you. The 'F' has to be capitalized though since it's the first character of the Username.

Krin is nice like that. This is the only pet-based game I know of where the admins will alter your player name if it didn't come out quite the way you meant it to (says the person who accidentally signed up as "Spaceelf1").

It actually is restricted to only having the first character capitalized and none others. We do this so that we don't end up with usernames like WEEEEEEEEEjasdfjasdo or something obnoxious. Or like... "IIllllIIlII", etc.

Since we don't really have issues with usernames like "MrBob" or whatever, we just simply change it for players upon request. But there's really no automatic way to filter this and per request is much easier than sitting there accepting or denying every single submission.

A possibly filter could be:
- Allow X capital letters besides the first one.
- Last character in the name cannot be capitalized
- Allow no less than Y number of characters between capital letters.

An example, take X=1, Y=2.
Would make it so, AAaaa, AaAaaa and AaaaaaaA are not allowed. But AaaAa is allowed.

It feels like a lot of cases are changing just one letter due to joining two separate words, so seems like this would reduce your workload, without really allowing "bad" usernames to appear. The smaller the X and larger the Y, the smaller the risk.

Edit: There could also be a restriction the longest length of a character repeated.

For example, let the longest length to be 3.
Would make it so, Aaaaa, Abaaaabc, etc. are not allowed, but Aaaa and Abaaab are allowed.

Easy to modify to count capital letters as repeats as well. String's toLowerCase should work. Then just use the same idea. In this case, Aaaa would not be allowed, but Aaa would.

Yep, that's a very plausible solution that we may implement with the revamp (or if the Site grows larger and we start getting hundreds of sign ups per day) - but atm we'll probably just keep the current set up lol.
