A good example of this is the black Lupora I recently generated here who was supposed to be completely jet black like 000000 black for her base. But she's obviously not even close. I have noticed this happen with most of my other pets too. They come out lighter than how I previewed them. Is this a glitch or normal?

That's normal. The generator almost always changes your colors at least a little bit. You have to be extremely lucky to get a perfect pet out of it. However, if you use an enhanced essence, the colors don't change as much.

Ahh okay. Well that's kind of disappointing. I really liked the dark look of that lupora and now I feel like she's just a muddled ugly grey-brown xD Oh well.

Hehe yeah, a lot of people get frustrated about it. Buuut, that makes it even more exciting when you finally get the perfect pet! (Well, in my opinion at least. )
You should check out this thread. Lots of people to sympathize with. :3c
