I just had a really, REALLY close friend (love interest) tell me today that he's dying, and has an estimated 5 more years to live (to around 20). I want to make him a bracelet to keep his strong, I need quote ideas. I don't want him to dwell on his dilemma, and think, maybe he'll make it. I was thinking of the quote "live like you'll die tomorrow, but believe you will live forever". thought? suggestions?
I just found another quote possibility. "dream as if you'll live forever"

Maybe 'there's no better gift than the present' or 'today is the beginning of the rest of your life'? Dunno how long/short you need it.
I'm a little experienced with loved ones and terminal stuff, if you ever need to talk/vent you can come to me, okay?

Hey hun. In case you ever need to talk / vent to someone, I'm here for you. I may not be experienced in terminal illnesses, but I definitely have lost several people to multiple causes & I'm willing to help you <3
As for the bracelet, it depends on how short / long you want the message to be. Any specific amount of characters?

I like the second quote you put up for the bracelet. My only concern is will it make them think about being sick? (What you're trying to avoid?) o:

My absolute favorite quote is "Dream as if you'll live forever, but live as if you'll die today." So i absolutely love both of the quotes you are thinking about as options (and of course that one is an option too) :)

Oh, remembered another one, 'there's no what if, only what is'. A little shorter i think? Helps to focus on what's actually important, what he has right now.
There's always something simple like 'Live' but that could be interpreted wrong...
Oh, or 'be wherever you are'. Gonna keep trying till there's one you like, be it from me or someone else!

Tell him that you need them, and find joy in every moment you have with him, for what is the purpose of life if you only trudge through each and everyday, going through the motions but not really caring? There is none; if you can't find joy, then there's no point.
