Okey so im from Sweden, we have 3 "uniq" letters. We share them, or simular ones, with the nordic countried. The letters is , and . the first beeing a a with a cirkle above it, the second a a with two dots above it and the last a o with two dots above it. If I click "preview post" I can see them, but as I click create thread they disapear. Am I not allowed to use my complete Alfabet? Its kinda anoying since id like to name a character to the Swedish vesion of Snowdrop, wich requiers the o with dots above. Id like to know what the rules are on this.

Pretty much every text input on the Site uses an alphanumeric filter which is just simply A-Z and 0-9. Some things, like the forums, allow basic symbols (,./<>?;':"[]{}!@#$%^&*()-=_+`~).

But it will filter out pretty much everything else... such as non alphabet letters, HTML code, ASCII code, etc.

They are. =P But we use the English Alphabet as the source alphabet. It would be very difficult to allow other alphabets since there are hundreds, if not thousands.

I'm not sure what you're wanting to do with the symbols, but you could always save them as a .png image and then upload them so imgur or something and use them like that.

I love to use the Swedish word for Snowdrop as characternames for white animals, I think it looks really pretty, however I alsoe use the latin one at times if I cant use the Swedish one. ^^ There are several times I havnt been able to use them to name my sylesties as well but I dont mind that much, just slightly anoying.
