Contests open for entries
Howdy folks! It's come to my attention that today marks my one year anniversary on Sylestia! I've had a great time during this year, and here's hoping that the one to come is just as wonderful!
In honor of this occasion, I've decided to host a couple short contests: an avatar design contest, a pet design contest, and a short poem contest. Please see the next post for more details about these!
Rules:
- Each person may enter only once per contest. So you MAY enter each of the three contests, but only one time for each one!
- PING ME with your entries! You may post your entries to each contest either in one post or in three separate posts, it won't affect anything, but MAKE SURE TO PING ME for each entry!
- Please try to look through the entries before posting your own to avoid making your entry too similar. This is primarily just a courtesy to those who posted before you, but doing something new will also help your chances of winning!
- The deadline for entering these contests is Friday, April 24 at 12:00 Noon. Any entries submitted after this time will not be counted.

Contest 1: Avatar Design Contest
The goal of this contest is simple: design an avatar centered around the theme of celebration.
Using the wardrobe, design an outfit that fits with this theme. It can be any type of celebration: holiday, festivals, personal happiness, etc. It's up to you!
To enter this contest, ping me with the following included in your post:
- An image of the avatar you designed. (use [ img ] tags, not just a link please.)
-A brief description of why your entry fits the theme. No more than 5 sentences.
The first place prize for this contest will be:
This purebred Angelic Nephini offspring. It will hatch before the contest ends.
The second place prize will be 50,000 gold.

Contest 2: Sylesti Design Contest
For this contest, the goal is to design a 2-vis sylesti of any species that represents the theme of aspiration.
Using the preview generator, design a sylesti that represents this theme. You may use any species, any colors, and whichever 2 traits you choose.
To enter this contest, ping me with the following included in your post:
- An image of the sylesti you designed. (use [ img ] tags, not just a link please.)
- A name for your design.
- A brief description of why your entry fits the theme. No more than 5 sentences.
- The names of the two traits you used.
The first place prize for this contest will be:
This purebred Starry Night lighira offspring. It will hatch before the contest ends.
The second place prize will be 50,000 gold.

Contest 3: Short Poem Contest
The goal of this contest is to write a short poem that fits with the theme of reminiscence.
With this theme in mind, you must write a three-line poem with the syllable pattern 3 - 6 - 5. Like a haiku, each line must contain the set amount of syllables - in this case, the first line must contain 3 syllables, the second line must contain 6, and the third line must contain 5 syllables (for the 365 days I've been on sylestia, har har).
Example:
Poetry (3)
with so few syllables (6)
is quite difficult. (5)
To enter this contest, ping me with the following included in your post:
- Your poem.
- A brief description of your inspiration for your poem. No more than 3 sentences.
The first place prize for this contest will be:
This purebred Dark Spirit Walker Ryori offspring. It will hatch before the contest ends.

Contest 3 (Poem):
Zolnixi.
You are one of a kind,
And special to me.
Inspired by the re-vamp, obviously. My starter was a zolnixi, as are many starters. I think it has always been one of the more loved species.
I'll probably enter the pet design one, but for now I'm stumped.
