What are the differences between wheel and themed pets? What's "OS" stand for? Are wheel pets generally preferred over themed or festive pets? What's the big deal?
Yes, I'm sure all of the information I seek is sitting neat and available right here, somewhere, in one of these forum topics. Please help out an unobservant, curious and confused Smithi, anyway!

o/ hi there!
What are the differences between wheel and themed pets?
Wheel pets are pets that came from a special prize wheel during Festivals (which are held at various times during the year, they're usually seasonal and have limited time prizes).
Usually, it takes a LOT of spins to get a pet from that prize wheel, like maybe $200 for 200 spins or something (could be exaggerating), but they're of high value.
Themed pets are pets that show up for a limited time during Festivals. You can tame/capture them, or there are other ways that pets are given out, such as through mini games (Winter's Bakery had you baking themed pets, Fall's Mojo Contest made you catch them in hopes of winning one, etc).
Wheel pets are considered a type of themed pet.
What's "OS" stand for?
Offspring? I don't think I ever used that word before.
edit: if that's not offspring, I'm not sure what that word is...
Are wheel pets generally preferred over themed or festive pets?
Generally yeah, due to rarity. Wheel pets are more exclusive and takes a lot of currency to get. Themed/festive pets aren't as rare, since you can find them in the wild and catch them, but wheel pets are guaranteed to have a few visibles. The site community kind of regards them as legendaries, I suppose.
What's the big deal? i know this wasn't meant to be a real question woops aha
It's easier to relate wheel pets to gachapon prizes from other MMORPGs, or like...idk, they're just really really really really rare/expensive/super rare pets that you find you'd have to be either rich or lucky to get lol.
The site community just makes em to be a really big deal, and then their offspring costs way more than regular themed pets as well.
It's like a status quo thing I guess? lol

OH. Alright, yes, all of that makes sense. I heard somebody in some other forum refer to a "Wheel OS", so... Well, yeah. You're probably right about that, too.
Thanks for being so awesome and informative! :D Have a nice night, Flute.

"OS" could be "offspring" or it could be the abbreviation of the Theme type of a Wheel pet.
For example, I lucked into a the acquisition of a Wheel Nephini. Her particular Wheel Theme is called "Star Gazer." I usually abbreviate the type of pet she is as "SG Nephini."
I can't remember if there's a Wheel theme abbreviated "OS"--do you remember what species of pet you saw being called "OS"?

No, I don't remember. Oh, well. Thanks for helping me out and letting me know about Wheel Themes, I'll keep it in mind the next time I see some odd abbreviation! Congratulations on the great luck, by the way.
