He has Vis Uromastyx, Carried Runic Swirls, and Vis Flowered Vines
His Vis Uromastyx is pure FF.

I wanted a female with Uromastyx, so I searched for the Tagged MM Nephs with Either Vis or Carried Uromastyx and found one, this guy--

...who has one offspring-->-->who has NO offspring.
"Midnight Misfortune Neph"______________________"Midnight Belle"

When my search included both released and non-released pets, I got the same result. Apparently, the only Tagged MM Nephini who ever had Uromastyx is a genetic dead end, because his only offspring has no offspring.

So where had Couture Comestibles's Uromastyx come from? Is he perhaps not Purebred?

So I traced his parents. His father, Beautiful Night-->
--has Carried Uromastyx.
Beautiful Night's mother, Midnight Mystery-->
--has no traits in her Gene Two slot.

A-ha! Beautiful Night's Carried Uromastyx must have come from his father, Un-named #631854--
...who has Vis Leopard, Vis Blue Dragon, and Vis Runic Swirls.

Obviously, Un-named #631854 must have Uromastyx Hidden behind his Blue Dragon trait...except that he doesn't. His Blue Dragon is pure CC.

How did Beautiful Night get Carried Uromastyx (NF) from an NN mother and a CC father? Even if Midnight Mystery has had a Nullification Philter used in her Gene Two slot, which would hide whatever she had an might have given to her son, Beautiful Night should still have gotten a C from his father. Besides, I think the Nullification Philter would leave an icon on Midnight Mystery's Pet Profile, and there isn't one.

Can anyone explain how Beautiful Night ended up with Gene Two NF from an NN mother and a CC father? What am I missing here?

I think the main thing that is causing this confusion is that Beautiful Night's father, Un-named #631854, is not genetically tested. If he was, I'll bet that he carries uromastyx under his visible blue dragon.


It's a common confusion, since not all people are aware that tagged wheel pets can carry other traits below their visible ones, that need to be tested in order for it to be shown in the img url and on the advanced search.

It's unlikely you'll be able to request for him to be tested and know for sure what traits he has hidden under the visibles, since I see the owner of that pet has not be on for quite a while. =/

Ah, that would explain it. I had not noticed that Un-named #631854 hadn't been tested.

Couture Comestibles is also descended from that same Un-named #631854 on his mother's side, so he essentially got Un-named #631854's same Carried Uromastyx trait twice, once from each parent.

Which means that to find a female with Uromastyx, I'll have to look among Couture's own cousins.
