I've never understood why a philter can't be used on a hatchling.
If I see a color that's wrong when a pet hatches, I'd like to change it immediately rather than having to remember to change in like a week.
If I accidentally misspell a name or give a pet the wrong name marker, I'd like to change that one too without having to wait. Because chances are, I'll forget. And then by the time it's grown up, I'm messing up my projects... -_-;
Can we please use philters on the hatchlings? Seriously, it can't hurt anything, but it'd sure be helpful.

I have noticed this. It's never really bothered me because I always like to see how the hatchling will look once it's grown up before I make any big changes. That's probably the thinking behind it. It was probably thought that users would want to see how things would come together before changing anything. Especially at the beginning before it was so easy to get your pets tested.
I do understand what you mean, though. It's super easy to forget these things and being able to do them right away would help with that. Especially when you've got a few dozen pages in your hatchery. I usually don't have very many pets in my hatchery to remember things about, so it's never much bothered me.

Actually, checking a pet for the older image is easy, especially if it's tested. All you need is the image code. Granted, in untested hatchlings it won't know the mutations yet so you can't preview those.
Using this pet as an example: https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=1236244
Just change the maturity= to anything above 248, and you can see the older version of the pet. This is also useful in calculating the hours until a pet is an adult once it's been genetically tested. 72 and below, and you can also see it as an egg again.
It's also possible to preview the adult version of a pet off the pet generator by throwing in the hex codes for each individual color, but image codes are sooooo much more efficient.
Just figured I'd share that bit of info in case you ever get curious about your own hatchlings. :D

Oh, I know about that, I'm just lazy and like the surprise when it comes to my hatchlings. x3 I like to let the image settle in my mind because I might end up liking the colors.
Love the colors on her, by the way!

Once again, I wish we could use Philters on hatchlings...
My "Deathstroke Lupora" project offspring now thinks she's a "Mischievous Puffadore."
Between the similar colors, the eggs being hatched one after the other with at least five puffs hatched beforehand, and the fact that I just woke up after a restless night... I named her wrong. And although Ihavea Philter of Amnesia to change her name marker to the proper "DS 1V5C" ... I can't use it. Because she's a hatchling. And now I have to remember this incident for about a week until she's an adolescent to fix it. *OCD brain twitches*
Philters on hatchlings, please!? o_e;

At least gender swapping philters should be allowed to be used on hatchlings. For instance, with my big project on Breaking Tulip Bulbori and I have way too many males. After getting a Philter, I had to wait for it to become Adolescent before I could gender swap the male to female.
It would at least be useful for Gender Swapping Philters
