Hello friends and people I don't know and have yet to meet, obviously we are nearing the end of november and the end of the year as well, the holidays are coming, Samsclub and Walmart have their Christmas decorations up for sale.. And I'm looking for some good books to read by the fireplace ((And in my room, and in the dining room, and in the office..))
My username says I'm a book geek ((which is true)) but I cant seem to find any good fantasy-adventure novels, so I'm asking you, the lovely members of sylestia, to help me, and any others who come here looking for books, find books! Together we can form some sort of sylestia book club!
Without further ado, lets begin suggesting books!
I've read
Maximum Ride by James Patterson
Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter
Erec Rex by Kaza Kingsley
Wings of Fire by ((I forgot the authors name sorry))
Percy Jackson by Rick Rioden
The Kane Chronicles by Rick Rioden
Heros or Olympus by Rick Rioden
and books I cant remember

If you like fairies:
Wicked Lovely series (Melissa Marr)
Tithe (Holly Black)
The Iron Fey series (Julie Kagawa)
Actually, anything from those 3 authors are good.
Other good series:
Wither series
Partials (Dan Wells)
I may add more. Out of time.

I really wish I could help, but I don't read many fantasy or adventure books/novels. I largely read mysteries, manga(like Sailor Moon)/graphic novels(like Sin City), and horror novels, with rare occasions I might read a supernatural romance(must be VERY well written though). Though if those are your prefered genre of books I can recomend one author R.A. Salvator who writes the books about a Dark Elf by the name of Drizzt DoUrden(these are fantasy/adventure books based on D&D), and I can say that they are great books! I have many of them collected, and have enjoyed reading them over and over.
If you are open to other genres of books/graphic novels I may have more recomendations.

The mass majority of books I've been reading recently have been manga/graphic novels, but there's a good number of them that put out light novels as well. For example, Spice & Wolf, I know has a light novel.
There's a series of novels called 'Book Girl' that I'm really fond of, they're not fantasy adventure but they are fantasy. You can look up them here to see if they'd be up your alley or not. There's some pretty heavy topics covered: like suicide, so that's something to be mindful of though.
If you are open to manga/graphic novels, I have plenty of those to recommend.

Other suggestions:
Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld.
Glimmerglass series by Jenna Black
The Girl in the Steel Corset series by Kady Cross
If you like more adult books, try anything from Neil Gaiman or Karen Marie Moning.
I read way too much. I'm currently reading my 46th book this year.

Some of my favorite fantasy book series:
The Bartimaeus Sequence by Jonathan Stroud
-Book 1: The Amulet of Samarkand
-Book 2: The Golem's Eye
-Book 3: Ptolemy's Gate
-Book 4/Prequel: The Ring of Solomon
The Songs of Eirren by Edith Pattou
-Book 1: Hero's Song
-Book 2: Fire Arrow
-East is another great book by Pattou, but not part of the Eirren series. It's just a stand-alone book. One of my all-time favorites, though!
Happy reading!

Yus! Good to meet another book lover! :) Agreed, I'm actually planning to buy more books for the holidays.
I've read many books with fantasy in it because I find fantasy really interesting and your imagination just goes wild. I've also read others that aren't as fantasy-ish, but they're still good!
Okay, first off, if any of you don't know Sharon Creech, her books are amazing! :D I've read about four of her books, but own only one. :( Her books are really descriptive, and some are award winners. They aren't fantasy, but I love 'em! Definitely check her out!
So, Bookgeek, you like fantasy? Okay, then you must read The Keeper of the Lost Cities series. They are amazing! It involves magical powers and mind-reading, so I bet you'll love it!
Darkbeast by Morgan Keyes is also a very good series. Search it up! And Breadcrumbs is a good book too, the forest there is awesome!
Aaand we cannot forgot Kate O'Hearn! Her Pegasus series is really good also! Well, if you like greek mythology or pegasai.
If any of you are interested in unicorns, you must have read The Unicorn Chronicles right? If not, READ THEM!
Wonder Light is also a very good unicorn book. :) Heehee, horse fan over here.
Whoa, I went a little over board. XD I'll let you know if I read any more good books!

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman is really good if you like dragons, as is the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.
The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge is older and probably technically not fantasy, but super good anyway.
The Warrior Heir and its sequels by Cinda Williams Chima
The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley
The Redwall books by Brian Jacques are pretty good, just be warned there are a lot of them
Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (Has sequels, but I'm not as fond of them. You might enjoy them, though.)
The Sight and its sequel Fell by David Clement-Davies
Anything by Tamora Pierce is good, but my favorite is the Immortals Quartet.
The Belgariad and the Mallorean by David Eddings are really good series, with the Mallorean being a sequel series to the Belgariad. Each is six books long.
That's all I've got for now, might add more later if I think of them. Hope this helps!

The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini is a fun series.. dragons, elves, dwarves, etc.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is less "fantasy" but still a decent series.
If you like vampires (not Twilight vampires) there is the Noble Dead series by Barb & JC Hendee that has like a million different books hah.
