I got a decent/good idea for a diamond item...
Introducing the Sticky Gun! Take it into battle with you, like a scanner, only this nifty item shoots gloop onto wild pets! This gloop lowers the chances of the wild pet running from battle!
Since it does that, chances are it'll also be a bit of an expensive item. But one many players would love to own! ^u^

This oddly sounds like a really good idea! It could be the same as the scanner and tester, where one is single use and one in unlimited use [or just more uses] I know that this would be a big help during festivals.

Unfortunately, I doubt it will happen since it's the master traps we're supposed to use for this sort of thing. :/

I've seen people regret not using master traps on epics. Doesn't have to be a legendary pet for someone to wish they could catch it without using a for-sure trap.
Maybe this item can be consumable, so we'd have to buy them in quantities.
And maybe it can come in standard gold/scale cost, and a more effective one can be sold for diamonds?
I don't know if using such an item would make it more effective if used more than once on the same pet. Would it be max of one sticky shot per pet? Or multiple shots which can lower the flee rate cumulatively?

I feel like having it be like the test kits or scanners would be nice. Use once per pet or have it work like a status effect with the item having a cooldown. Lasts 2 turns and has 3 turn cool down or something. And the diamond shop item would be unlimited uses while the gold/scale is one time use. Either way, I support this.

We have thought about adding some various catching/finding enhancers via crafting down the road.
