This is just a little thing.... but I noticed that ever since yesterday's update completed the "Explore" tab no longer turns orange when our pets have completed missions pending and you now have to click it to see whether or not they have.

I still do however get alerts when someone buys or breeds with one of my pets.

I took this tiny little feature for granted before, but I now realize how handy it was.

The bar only has orange alerts when you are using the "old" layout. The stable page now uses the "new" layout, so it won't display missions completed or anything of the sort. The plan is to update that box so that every time something new happens it will show up there...

I did wonder if it had to do with the new layout, but then why would I still get orange alerts for my other pet-related activities on the account tab and not the explore?

I'm not sure. Mine still turns orange when I'm on the account page. I think you might test it again. I know once you go to the mission page it's not orange anymore even if you didn't click complete on all the finished missions. That has messed me up before.

I tested it two more times, and "explore" definitely does not turn orange when missions are done anymore, not even when I didn't check them yet.

I haven't been getting alerts for completing missions either. And sometimes my quests too now.

I've been wondering with the new layout how you will know if someone has pinged you?

There is a box at the top right of the screen. When the @ symbol has a number by it, you have been pinged. It's the only alert for the new layout that currently works.

What Divinis said. For right now the Ping is the only update that shows up on the new layout. Krin does plan on implementing the other notifications in the future updates, but I've just been checking in on my hatchery way too much because it's still on the old layout.
