Titles can be earned by participating in forum games and festivals, and through battling in the arena.
For example the "Master Egg Hunter" title can be earned by collecting all 20 eggs in the Spring Festival egg hunt game, the "Sweet Solver" title was given to people who completed the Sweet Sudoku forum game during the Valentine's Festival, and the "Adept Gladiator" title can be unlocked through the arena. :)

That, my friend, was from the fall festival last year in October. I think it was for entering one of the game contests that Fiaona made.
