I found a glitch i think, trying to search for a user and i clicked currently online but when i click search it gives me 18 pages of people, most of who havent been online for a long time

Everything seems to be working as intended to me. The timer to be considered online is a bit longer than what's used at the top of pages. We will ultimately change that to use the same timer.

I noticed something else about the search, but I'm not sure if it's just me or something. When I search for something using the search bar in the old style, it doesn't give any results. The HTML isn't the code for an empty search, but it still doesn't provide any results unless I input the name into the box on the actual search page instead of the search bar on the top of the page.
