How do pets regenerate health points after they've been battling for awhile?

You can give them a fairy mushroom or potion, but over time they will automatically, you could also heal it on the map in the plaza.

Also you may use exiling, though I do recommend options since exilirs cost more and can be used in battle while options cannot. And the piazza price for healing goes up...
