I followed the create pet links, but haven't been able to create a pet or find the essence in the shops to create one. Can someone help?

If you follow the tutorial, eventually it'll get to the "Create a Pet" stage. It'll provide an essence of your choice, (Enhanced I believe) from the Generator page. But yeah, just follow the pop-up tutorial! (Which pops up in the right hand lower corner.)

I did that. I clicked on the "choose Griffi" tab, but nothing happened. I even waited a day and tried again... and still nothing. Is it a bug maybe?

Uh... I'm not sure, but it might because you aren't allowed to have a fabled pet for a starter pet...? It's probably because Griffs, nyvenes, ryories, kelpari, ligthora, and nephini all have 'enhanced' stats... Like, stronger stats.

Starter Pets are Limited to Qitari, Zolnixi, Vulnyx. Aurleon, Draeyl, and Sylvorpa.
This is probably because they were(?) the original 6 pets on site.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. If Morrko, Faelora, Bulbori, Lupora, Nytekrie, Puffadore, Lunemara. Kelpari, or even Luffox is available let me know. x.x
I just remember that when I tried to make my first pet I tried to choose Bulbori and was told no by the system.
