So, I play minecraft. I don't know if many people here do. I recently joined a new server, not going to name names and have worked very hard on it for all my stuff. Today in casual conversation in the chat, someone was complaining that a mini map mod (R - One approved on the website) was not working, there was then a long, long, long time of complaining and finally I chipped in and said that I was using another mini map mod (V) and that it was almost an exact copy of the one approved, and it is working with the newest version of minecraft. About 30 seconds later, I am kicked out of the server by the mod who was online, for a few minutes. When i come back and private message the mod with my justification, explanation and reasoning and a link to said mod, so that everyone can enjoy using a mini map again and suggested that it be allowed, I was instantly banned from the server for two whole hours, with the message, "I see you need more time to think about removing that mod" and i'm like, seriously? It wasn't a cheat, or a hack or anything, I explained it to him, and at that point, I was /not/ using the mod. Still banned for two hours? Am I not allowed to voice an opinon or make a suggestion? As an already loyal player intending to donate 10+ dollars to your server?

No.

*Sigh* I'm so mad right now, that I kind of want to quit it. Basically what the mod is doing is saying, "Alright, you're allowed an apple off that tree, but under no circumstances are you allowed an apple that is exactly the same, from another tree 2 steps away."

Frustration.

doesn't the said V mod allow you to also teleport to death/spawn point marks you make and get when you die or am i thinking of another mod?
it could just be that R (pretty sure thos who play MC know what R is) is only accepted do to that fact is more easier for servers to control some the functions of thos mods on there server

servers can block death points from showing(could just been an off day for me and it didnt work on the server i played)
it can also block players from cheating and using it to enable mobs from showing on the mini map as well
and a few other things i'm failing to remember i'm sure

i've been on a bunch of servers like that they allow one thing over another i know players who have also donated a good chunk of money (around 100+) to servers and then just instantly ban them for something as lame as a mod there using that dose not affect the server


most of thos kinda moderators are what alot of people like to refer to as corrupted mods

i been on a Pixelmon servers where i have seen people be ban for something as lame as having a nether portal in there town and later on get ban for because a mod feels it should be a new rule to them selfs that they dont want a player to have a portal after allowing it for months but then turning around and having the portals in there own town x.x

and at one point animals spawn in the map do to a glitch in the mod or the server owner updating its self at one point when it was being updated where vanilla animals had spawn and players got ban for having just 1 one

These things are why I don't play on public servers. :/ I've been banned for griefing because I was in the same area, no other evidence, just "you look suspicious, mate."

I can't really help ya. But yeah. That is so SUCKY. I don't have ANY computer games, let alone my own computer..
