I'm not sure how others would feel about this but I thought of something that could help make the holiday capturing of pets and fighting bosses more fair. I'm not sure how others feel but with the lag that some have over others plus the speed at which some individuals can fight faster I thought this might work.
There could be something like say a mysterious island appears off the coast of Veridian Meadows on which there's a castle. During any normal time of year it can't be accessed or it's completely abandoned and no villians or pets are to be found. During a holiday there can be word that an enemy trying to come up with some horrifying plan is at this castle and must be stopped. Everyone can go through the castle at their own speed and use whatever level pets they want without it impacting anyone else. Perhaps it can even have a special timer that it can be reset two or three times a day to mirror the three raid events a day we have now. After the holiday is over everything becomes quiet until a different villain tries to take advantage of this island being out of reach.
Doesn't have to be an island or a castle. Anything along those lines that makes the event instead in a dungeon that can be recycled for different holidays.

There's an island in the northern snow region. O: (which won't be released for awhile, but that can work to an advantage)
Probably should've summed it up as an all-year event dungeon, dungeon so it doesn't localize user activity all within one hour. I like the idea, though maybe I can't come up with some kinks at the moment.

That's a very reasonable idea. It would be nice to have more random events that progress as though they are instanced. Would also be nice if they could have "micro-stories" related to them.

Yeah, the lag is killing most of us players. It's mind boggling how other's connection could be so fast at times like the raid while some of us struggle with it! XD
I agree with this idea to an extent, because we all know that multi-accounting problem might arise from things like this. But the whole raid but with a flexible time and also had the dungeon-feel to it appeal to me the most. Problem with the current raid also include the server killing itself while fighting boss, some of us were still fighting it and with the current coding (idk if it's fixed yet ), we can't continue to fight it. But if it has almost similar rules to the dungeon, we can continue fight the boss even when server hiccups occurred.
But that's all I can add to this great idea, though I hope there is a way to stop those multi-accounts... :/

I like this idea for the fact that you can access the 'dungeon' when you are available. The hardest thing about this event is trying to make myself available. As a working college kid, I'm in class in the mornings (so the 9am raid was out) and at work from 4p-9:30p, making the 3pm raids hard to catch, and the 9pm ones imposable.
Being able to access the event for a set amount of time per day would allow even busy people like me to join in.
Example that I think would work. If each raid lasted 20 mins (I think thats how much raids generally last), and we had available 3 raids a day, that's 1h of 'event' time. If that seems a broken idea, then I notice that no one even seems to get more then 100 - 150 'points' per raid. So it could be programed to hold 150 random encounter creatures + final boss.
Either way I like the idea.

Not saying that this isn't a possibility but we will be adding an additional CPU to our server this upcoming week. This should help with the lag during raids etc.
