I, and possibly others, request future Big Bad Boss fights that don't require a specific Party composition and a precise formula of attacks, blocks, buffs, Equipment, etc.

Many Sylestia players are kids, but some of us are not, and we may have jobs that require specificity, concentration, close attention to detail, etc. We'd like to be able to progress in the game and also have fun. I don't meant BBB fights should be easy, but let them include a little bit of spontaneity and flexibility, please.

I have to agree.
I tend to be very inattentive during battles, cause keeping track of everything is intense after a day of work, or just life. I'd rather be able to out train the bosses and beat them that way. Now I just keep ending up failing battles cause I missed 1 symbol or line of text.

Ideally I'd like a combination of some strategy, but also the ability to just train to be a lot stronger so that these battles get easier.

This is also something I'm hoping for in the future.
I know its purposeful with the Lost Grove because its meant to give us something to do while we wait:

That being said, I do like that there are bosses (and enemies) you have to have strategy to fight and bosses you have to build a specific team for--I just wish both didn't apply to nearly every encounter in the current end-game. Personally, I'm not a fan of the "you can only win one way" thing.
It can be fun to figure out mechanics and to talk with others to learn how to fight things, it just sucks that it applies to everything after a certain point. Especially because there are builds and elements that are not really viable the further you go.

For those of us who don't have the time to rank, earn enough gold for pre-ranked pets, or obtain all the materials needed to upgrade equipment, it makes needing specific teams very hard to come by and thus a lot of players get 'stuck' at certain places with building frustrations. At the same time I also understand the want for challenge to keep things from being boring and to require people to actually think about what they are doing. I would like to see a middle ground met to help those of us who aren't good at battling/understanding the mechanics of it could at least say.. beat the behemoth in maws to get that adorable held or get to vex so we can get those special rikkis before they are unobtainable.

This is more or less already planned for the future - in a couple of ways.

Specifically regarding the point about having to utilize specific team compositions, I agree and I do wish some of the bosses (Aykios and Vexxar) were a bit more flexible. However, with the given combat/ability system, it makes it tough sometimes to come up with dozens of fight mechanics to make each boss/named feel unique and challenging. I have had to be pretty creative to get everything I can get out of the current system that was largely built long before these types of boss mechanics were even on my radar. The new system down the road will be much more accommodating as each Element will be more dynamic and customizable. There will also be additional ways to customize your Pet's abilities through Equipment.

Regarding difficulty, this is just due to the Lost Grove being my only means of serving content atm. The Lost Grove, especially the Ancient Temple, is considered to be the current game's end-game content. It is meant to be the pinnacle of all content and, the Ancient Crypt specifically, was tuned entirely around basically everything the game offers (max stat pets, high wild stats, best flasks, full barracks, etc). I do not think there is really anything wrong with that and that is how the end-game content will always be. However, the problem comes in that this is all we have available atm (in terms of non Event/Festival exploration). The latter will have massive changes specifically addressed to it in the future.

The difficulty of the Ancient Temple is vital for the game's economy atm. Max stat/Super stat pets are the main driving factor behind a lot of breeding projects. If the content had no requirement for such pets, there'd be significantly less demand to undergo those breeding projects. Additionally, earning Expertise and farming top notch Equipment are the biggest things players spend time working on in the Lost Grove. Again, also vital for the game's health atm.

Sylestia's content is going to be sparse for a bit longer until I can rebuild our core features and relaunch the game. So I specifically have tried to build the Lost Grove to get the most out of it that I possibly can and give the majority of players a lot to work on/spend time on in the meantime. Otherwise, there'd be nothing to do other than Events/Festivals.

And all of that is why the Lost Grove, and specifically the Ancient Temple, are the way they currently are.

Glad to hear that this is being taken into consideration.

This is one reason why I haven't progressed and have sort of lost interest in the site as a whole, I just no longer have the desire to have to follow a specific formula and have one little mistake end up costing me a lot of time. Nor do I really want to have to get very specific pets or redo the pets I have for a single boss, when that particular set up isn't to my liking.
