I have looked all over the lost grove for Maeve the Cursed to complete the daily tasks for the fortune event but haven't been able to find them.
Do they just spawn randomly or are they in the caves (which I haven't yet unlocked) or am I just missing something?
I don't do lost grove tasks often which is why i'm lost rn

Maeve can spawn anywhere in the grove, so you aren't missing out or lowering your odds by not being in the caves yet. She is pretty rare, I usually (but not consistently) see her at some point each day while I do two runs through both the forest and cave areas to take out all the regular elite spawns.

Luckily, there is a sort of 'pity' system in place for her spawning - the odds of seeing her very slightly increase each time you get an encounter other than Maeve, in addition to the added chances when you haven't already had the encounter that day. Ultimately it is random though, so you'll just have to get lucky and I wish you good luck.
