To keep this short and simple, not everyone knows how to use the forum coding to add things like url links, and even more importantly, the image links.

Personally speaking, I'm a bit lazy, especially on the laptop where I can't easily copy and paste. (The touch pad is super sensitive, and half the time when 'mousing' around' I hit the scroll function which sends the pages zooming up and down... Quite annoying, but I digress.)

Many times on the site, including the nurture thread, I've seen people remarking that they don't know how to add image links and the like, so maybe if they knew they'd be more likely to use it. I think a brief explanation of how to make image links added to Krinadon's opening post would be nice. I've been tempted to reply to people with a quick tutorial myself, but I know that soon enough it'd be buried by posts and chances are, another person would pop up with the same comment.



Just a random thought to help the newer users. (And the lazy nurturers like me XD)

It's a good idea. I did something like that for the ryori nurture thread. Not sure if I made it as clear as I could but below is what I put. I'm not sure if an explanation on how to nurture an egg was really necessary or not though.



Thread for nurturing new Ryori eggs and hatchlings. Best wishes hunting for Ryori essences!

How to nurture an egg - When you go to a pet's profile, click on the image of the egg or hatchling. This will give you options on nurturing the egg. The correct option will reward a scale plus you have a rare random chance for an essence of the species you nurtured.

How to make an image link - Right click the image of your egg and select Copy Image Location. Paste it into your post. Highlight the image location link and then select the IMG= button. Enter the profile link of the pet.

The only problem is that not everyone reads even the first post of threads. I've made tutorials on how to post images/urls to answer peoples' questions in FAQ and not even two post below mine would be someone else asking how to do it. The biggest reason with people not knowing how to do things on the site is that they don't read carefully and/or don't notice that their question has been already answered before they even asked it. :\
