^ I hate this trait!! For consistency's sake it SHOULD look like THIS v but in order to do so I have to change the C2 underbelly color because apparently the UNDERBELLY is what defines THE WINGS!? WHY!?!?!?!

This is the ONLY TRAIT where the M3 WING COLOR, isn't even ON the wings! It's just some tiny accenting crystally thingy! We have ACCENT COLORS for accents!!!

... so I suggest more consistency for this trait's color designations...

Yes please. I noticed this while trying to use these wings the other day, and totally agree with the title of this thread: why, oh why, are the colours on these wings coded this way? Also agreed that the *wings* should pull from the *wing* slot and the accents on the wings should pull from AC2. Isn't that what AC2 is for?

It actually does use AC2, and 4 other colors for a total of FIVE (everything in the image above except for eye color.) I'm still trying to make sense of it all, and with how the genes work.

If I had the free reign to choose...

EC instead of AC2 since eye color is usually applied to sparkles across all trait slots

EC sparkles everywhere; logically this trait should work like that.

M3, so it doesn't require the UNDERBELLY (C2) to set the color of the WING. Pretend the underbelly is white; this is the color slot that ruins this trait and it's what I would prefer to see SEPARATED from the trait :|

(shown with G2 Wing Tips to further emphasize how C2 currently impacts the WINGS when it should be M3 that defines this slot. This. Makes. No. Sense.)

G2 is where it should be. :D

AC1 is fine since the wing mutation seems to have its own "trait" that works like Cecropia and is entirely replaced by G2 options :D

AC2 moved to what the current M3 does so that M3 can actually color the WINGS like it should.

This removes C2 from the equation entirely, allows M3 to determine the MAIN feature of the wings as emphasized with Wing Tips, and redistributes the color designations of the remaining slots to something consistent with other Griffi traits by implementing EC for the sparkles.

This is one of the hardest traits, if not the hardest, on griffies to design around. I would also like more consistency.
