I think it would be pretty cool to be able to subscribe to certain users' threads. For example, User1234 is a great breeder and I love their projects. I would click a subscribe button on their profile page, then click the Breeding Discussion forum. I would then be automatically pinged whenever they created a thread in that forum. This would make it easier for people because they wouldn't have to search through a forum for a list of people who want to be pinged. This is just a suggestion I'm throwing out, I'm not really expecting it to be implemented :)
