I've found the scaling options for boss fights to be incredibly frustrating. You work hard to level you favorite pets, do your best to get good armor, then get beaten into dust unless you use throw away pets that you level just enough, then release or sell when they get too high.
Would there be any possibility of scaling your pets and stats down to match the boss level rather than scaling the storyline bosses way up? Let's say your pet is wearing level 50 armor and is level 60. It goes to fight a level 20 boss. Couldn't the pet and the armor stats be lowered to something of an equivalent level/rarity so the fight is challenging rather than impossible?
Perhaps add a challenge or insane mode that has the current mechanics that give better prizes at higher levels rather than punishing players that simply want to enjoy the story.

@Frostfall,
The only enemies that scale are Dynamic Event enemies. Which are you referring to?

@Krinadon
I was under the impression that all storyline event bosses also scaled such as Talon and the boss at the end of the Dungeon of the Forsaken. The one at the end of the Forsaken has stomped my team of level 60's several times. One tank and two min maxed fire casters. I've tried level 50 purple gear. I've tried the best stuff available from the Town hall in the sanctuary of Sarielle on some of the pets. I had over 50 of the 2400 HP restore potions. I've been trying various specs and am trying out different proficiencies. No luck no matter what I do, so I assumed that the scaling comments were correct. I had a light trained pet for a while, but the amount of HP restored was negligible. My pets don't go down unless I stop using potions, but at the end the boss simply drained them too much and I couldn't even whittle it down. I finally just gave up as I'd simply use up all my potions without making any progress.

@Frostfall,
There are 2 key mechanics to the dungeon boss. Not following them makes the encounter incredibly more difficult, if not impossible.
Pay attention to her buff and what's causing her to heal.

During the Da'Sheer battle, were you trying to rush the battle or did you try figuring out the mechanic to the fight?
With two Fire proficiencies' [first] special attack, it's definitely going to give you a hard time lol.

Thanks for the info everyone! I truly thought it was fight scaling hitting me and was very discouraged. I'll take this conversation elsewhere with a spoiler tag on it
