I was wondering, are the price differences of the eggs in the Scale Shop based upon whether or not they carry/have genes/mutations, or are they random?

The Scale Shop owner is an expert when it comes to handling Egglings. They know a rare Eggling when they see one and make you pay appropriately for it.
