Creating Pets
During each of the seasonal fests, a section in the Seasonal Festival tab lets you create pets with Festival items and time. During Festivals, you can collect catalysts of different kinds to create different species of Sylesti.
The Catalysts
In most festivals, there are three rarities of Catalyst, Regular, Fabled, and Majestic. Regular are basic, non-fabled Sylesti, Fabled are Fabled species such as Ferrikki and Puffadore, and Majestic Catalysts with special Restricted traits.
Pricing for catalysts varies widely, based on rarity, time of Fest left, and how popular the theme is.
Average Price for Regular Catalysts: 15-20k (Pouches are 60k near start of Fest, 30k by mid)
Average Price for Fabled Catalysts: 250-400k (Pouches are 800k near start, 700k by mid)
Average Price for Majestic Catalysts: 1mill+ (Pouches are 1.2mill near start, 1mill by mid)
Catalysts can be enhanced by using Festival Items.
Blue/Pink Tree Sap: Guarantees your pet will be a specific gender (blue for male, pink for female) Average Price: 300g on the Trade Broker, 3 Decorated Eggs
Genetic Bonding: Guarantees that a specific trait slot will be visible. Average Price: 800 on the trade broker
Genetic Splicer: Guarantees that a specific trait slots will have a hidden carries trait. Average Price: 800 on the trade broker,
Various Enrichments (Enriched Water, Sun's Glow, and Weed-B-Gone): Using an enrichment on a plant makes it grow one hour faster. Using enrichments on other players seeds will grant Decorated Eggs.Average Price: WIP
Root Strengthener: Boosts the Base Stats of a Pet by 100 Health and 5 Str, Int, Dex, and Agi. Can be used four times. Average Price: 22k on the trade broker
Miracle Grow: Increases the effectiveness of Hourly Growth and of Enrichments by 600% and Bonus Growth by 400%. This can only be used once that specific Themed Pet has already been harvested once by anyone on the Site. Average Price: 200k on the trade broker
Lesser Fertilizer: When added to a Regular or Fabled seed, it is guaranteed to have one visible trait. Majestic seeds will have two carried traits. Average Price: WIP on the Trade Broker, 3 Decorated Eggs
Greater Fertilizer: When added to a Regular or Fabled seed, it is guaranteed to have two visible traits. Majestic seeds will have one visible trait. Can be created by combining 10 lesser fertilizers with 50k gold. Average Price: WIP on the trade broker, 15 Decorated Eggs
Exceptional Fertilizer: When added to a Regular or Fabled seed, it is guaranteed to have three visible traits. Majestic seeds will have two visible traits. Can be created by combining 10 greater fertilizers with 250k gold. Average Price: WIP on the trade broker, WIP decorated eggs
Composted Seed (Regular, Fabled, and Legendary): WIP of the same rarity of composted seed can be combined to create a random seed of the same rarity. Average Price: Regular (WIP), Fabled (WIP), Legendary (WIP)
Bonus Growth and Your Pets
(Taken from last Spring Fest Overview)
For every Enrichment used on a growing Plant, it will receive a Bonus Point. After so many Bonus Points, the Plant will gain a Bonus Tier. There are a maximum of 2 Tiers to be earned. They offer the following rewards:
Tier 1: For both Majestic and Regular/Fabled Plants, they receive a permanent boost to their Base Stats. (WIP for boost)
Tier 2 (Regular/Fabled Plants): For Regular/Fabled Plants, they receive a bonus Carried Trait.
Tier 2 (Majestic): For Majestic Pets, they receive an even further permanent boost to their Base Stats. (WIP for boost)
(So, with Majestic pets... let us look at max health for last fest Ferrikki. A base of 220, +400 from Root strengtheners, +the stats from bonus growth, +200 from a prismatic philters... some Spring Victorian Ferrikki have 1220 health. This saves a huge amount of time and philters when doing stat projects.) |
The Task Log
Many tasks in the task log grant amazing rewards, so it is well worth the time and money to accomplish them. (WIP. Add photos of tasks and methods?)
The Boards
There are two kinds of contest boards: Battleboards and Nurture Boards. Each species has a separate board. They usually run 3-4 days and end at 11:59pm on the last day. This is another Festival feature worth participating in, as you do not have to win to get rewards.
The Battleboards
To gain points in the Battleboards, you must defeat enemies in the Festival Zone with pets of a specific species. (eg. Defeating 3 enemies with 3 Sylvorpa will gain you 9 points on the Sylvorpa Battleboard, and defeating 2 enemies with a Lupora and 2 Zolnixi will gain you 2 Lupora points and 4 Zolnixi points.)
Rewards:
First Place: 3-Visible Flower Themed of the species
Second through Fifth Place: 2-Visible Flower Themed of the species
All of the top fifteen: One Contest Reward Pouch
One Contest Reward Pouch per 1000 points gained on an individual board.
The Nurtureboards
To gain points in the Nurtureboards, you must nurture a pet. That is it. (eg. Nurturing 10 Lunemara will gain you 10 points on the Lunemara Nurtureboard.)
Rewards:
First Place: 3-Visible Flower Themed of the species
Second through Fifth Place: 2-Visible Flower Themed of the species
All of the top fifteen: One Contest Reward Pouch
One Contest Reward Pouch per 500 points gained on an individual board.
Reward pouches can contain Premium Seed Pouches, Regular Seed Pouches, Premium Fertilizer Bags, Regular Fertilizer Bags, Large Basket of Enrichments, Small Basket of Enrichments, Garden Additives, or Gold.
The Festival Shop
Using Decorated Eggs, festival item and Avatar items can be bought from the Festival Shop. (WIP. Add items and prices, perhaps average price when those items are sold on the broker.)
