Long, long ago, in a galaxy far far away- Actually, no. It did happen long ago, but in this same world. This were two Lupora. A male, and a female. As you can probably guess, they were mates. They had one, beautiful egg. It was aqua, and at the bottom a light gray.
"It's beautiful," The low rumbling voice of the male Lupora, Storm, said. The female, Star, simply stuck her muzzle into the air. "The egg certainly doesn't have any of my colors. Only yours." "And that doesn't matter." Star looked at her mate as if he grew three tails- which wasn't uncommon with Zolnixi, but these two were not Zolnixi, were they?
"Of course it matters, Storm! I am the heiress to the Lupora kingdom* throne, so my egg should certainly have my colors! Oh, dear Vaeluna,** what if they don't have the royal wings? I think I would be-" "Star!" Storm curled his long tail around the egg. "Don't think like that, dear. They'll be beautiful." Star glared at her mate. "But what if they aren't? That'll be a problem."
Storm sighed, clearly irritated. "Just- just go to bed. It's late, Star." The female Lupora twitched her nose, but otherwise didn't say anything. The egg shook, just a little bit, before settling down, and all was quiet that one, peaceful night.
Three Days Later
Day by day, the egg that Star had been worrying about had been cracking and shaking, and finally it was about to hatch. Storm was eating a mouse, lazily watching his mate. Said mate was watching her egg with fixed eyes as a head poked out. Star narrowed her eyes at the aqua mane and the gray fur. Whipping her head up, the female Lupora declared, "She looks exactly like you, Storm! Down to the eyes!" Storm raised his eyebrows at the heiress. "You do realize just her head has come out?"
Twitching her nose, Star ignored her mates statement and said, "Well, she certainly can't be the heiress if she doesn't look like me!" Then her eyes widened, and she whispered, "Mother won't like this.." Storm watched as the hatchling rose out of her egg fully. "You mean Queen Andromeda?" Star nodded weakly. "Don't worry you'll be fine," Storm soothed as he pushed a mouse her way. "C'mon, you better eat."
The hatchling looked up at her mother with wide, aqua eyes. "Astoria," Star whispered softly. "Your name is Astoria."
*: Each of the Sylesti species have kingdoms
**: Vaeluna is mentioned in the generator, and I just inferred that she was a moon goddess of some sort.
EDIT: The looks of the people mentioned are in my saved generator designs. Astoria is "Lupora Design", btw

Chapter Two
Astoria was adventure-loving and carefree. Her mother, though, was strict, and always annoyed with her only daughter. The young Lupora's father, however, loved his only hatchling. He often took her out on hunting trips, and missions to defeat the Humans.
But, today was the day Astoria had to act civil, as her mother said. It was the day the Zolnixi kingdom was coming to visit.
The Lupora and Zolnixi kingdoms had major differences. The Lupora kingdom, for example, was the embodiment of night. In comparison, the Zolnixi kingdom was the embodiment of day. As you can probably tell, they didn't communicate very well.
In the years between Astoria being hatched and the meeting of the two kingdoms, Queen Andromeda stepped back to let Star become the Queen. Astoria loved her grandmother, as she often had little stories and trinkets to show the heiress.
Astoria was shaken from her thoughts at the door opening and a guard walking in. "Your Highness," he said. "Queen Sonne and Prince Ashun are here."
Queen Star stood up and motioned for King Storm and Princess Astoria to stand up, also. At long last, the Zolnixi and Lupora kingdom would meet again. The door opened, and in walked the Queen and Prince.
"Welcome, Queen Sonne, Prince Ashun. Is King Shamsi not with us today?" The Zolnixi Queen looked slightly uncomfortable, but she responded, "No. He died last month in a raid against a nearby Human camp."
Queen Star nodded, before leaping off the throne and walking towards a door on the far left wall. Astoria and her father followed the Lupora. "Eat, shall we?"
In the Dining Room
The long, black table in the Lupora dining room was quite a sight. It had a midnight blue runner, with pale yellow plates and napkins. Star flowers* were placed along every foot and a half, and servants were placed at various places. The large, golden chandelier hung above the middle of the table, and candles were places every half foot. The chairs were made of a dark wood that Astoria didn't know the name of, and had midnight blue cushions. Overall, the dining room was one to be admired.
The table had exactly 46 seats. One on each end, with 22 on each side. Astoria was placed next to Prince Ashun. Oh, great. she thought. Next to another stuck up prince. As the meals were served, Astoria turned to the Zolnixi next to her.
"Hello," she said cheerfully. "I'm Astoria." The prince scanned Astoria, and after a minute finally said, "Hello."

Chapter Three
The way that Prince Ashun said hello wasn't rude, nor stuck up. In fact, it was almost.. fearful. Twitching her ears, Astoria didn't say anything more. She just focused on eating. No one talked, which was fine for the young Lupora.
Suddenly a guard rushed in, eyes wide and fearful. "Q-Queen Star! K-King Umbra h-has requested y-your presence." Astoria looked across the table to her father with wide eyes. Huffing slightly, Queen Star got up, said, "Excuse me." and walked out into the main hall.
Almost immediately, there were shouts. Most of them, Astoria could make out. Others, not so much. There was one conversation that Astoria strained her ears to pick up.
"Give me your daughter, Star, and everything will be fine." That was King Umbra.
"Over my dead body!" Queen Star, obviously. "And that's Queen Star to you, Umbra."
"Give. Me. The. Heiress."
"No!" After that, there was a yowl and Astoria's mother raced into the dining hall. "Astoria, Storm. Show our guests to their rooms."
"No," Storm replied. "I'm staying here with you."
Astoria just nodded politely and jumped off of her seat, "Follow me for your rooms, Your Majesties." There was a snort, and a shadowy creature- a Ryori, if Astoria wasn't mistaken- waltzed into the room. "At least your daughter has manners."
Quickly deciding to go the long way around, rather than face the angry King, the Lupora heiress lead the Queen and Prince to the door at the other end of the room, and up a tower to the guest rooms. "This first room is for you, Queen Sonne. Follow me for your room, Prince Ashun." Once they were out of earshot, the Zolnixi heir said, "Please, just Ashun is fine."
Astoria giggled and replied, "Okay, 'Just Ashun'" Smirking, Ashun said, "Whatever. To my room, please?" Regaining her composure, the Lupora nodded and nudged open the door they were at. "Your room, Ashun." Nodding his thanks, the Prince walked into the room. It was perfect.
There were two windows: One in the east, and one in the west. They were both stained glass, and the one on the east had a picture of a sun rising, while on the west it showed the sun setting. The carpet was a dark sand color, and the bed was a soft orange with pale yellow drapes. There was a table made out of a red wood that looked like it was on fire, and a candle on that. The room smelled like the lake, Ashun's favorite place to spend free time.
Astoria's room, however, had two windows: east and west. The difference was that the windows showed the moon rising and setting. The floor was a dark, spruce wood. There was a large chandelier that resembled the stars in the sky, and her bed was a midnight blue with white drapes. It was perfect.
But, what Astoria didn't know was that at this moment, her mother and father wouldn't be able to make it to breakfast the next morning.
Like usual, the characters are in my saved generator designs. If any spelling, grammar or whatnot is incorrect, I wrote this at 9 in the morning and it was pretty much the first thing I did after I woke up.

Chapter Four
The next morning when Astoria woke up, something felt.. off. She couldn't quite place it, though, and decided to ignore it. Before walking downstairs, she decided to check on the guests. Queen Sonne was sound asleep, but Prince Ashun had his front paws on the east window, and his tail was swishing back and forth.
"Looking at the sun rise, Prince- er, Ashun?" Astoria asked, cocking her head at the Zolnixis behavior. The Prince jumped, knocking over the candle on his bedside table. His eyes widened, but Astoria didn't move a muscle. "The carpets fireproof." She replied calmly, before padding over and picking it up with her mouth, but immediately dropping it right after. She looked around wildly and raced over to the water basin, dunking her muzzle in.
Taking it out, she sighed in relief. Ashun was trying to contain his laughter, but upon seeing Astoria's dripping muzzle, he broke out laughing. "Ha ha ha, very funny," the heiress said sarcastically. They heard footsteps and immediately shut up. The young Lupora dried her muzzle and sat down beside the bed. Ashun sat down by the window and quickly picked the candle up, putting it back where it was.
"Is everything alright, Princess Astoria, Prince Ashun?" A servant poked her head in. "Yes, Honey. Thank you." The Lupora looked around nervously, before ducking her head and quickly backing out of the room. The two hatchlings looked at each other and shrugged before Astoria said, "Lets go have some breakfast."
Ashun nodded and followed Astoria to the dining hall. But, instead of her mother sitting at the head of the table, King Umbra was. Immediately, Astoria backed up and shoved Ashun behind her with her tail. The Zolnixi quickly went in front of her, though, and kept her behind him.
Queen Sonne soon came in and saw the Ryori. Instead of fighting him, she simply sat down to the left of him and motioned for her son to sit down across from her. But instead of obeying his mother, Ashun lead Astoria to the other side of the table. Neither of them sat at the head, but someone else was there.
He was a blue Lupora with glowing, pale yellow designs. His name was Imperitus. King Umbra cleared his throat, "Well, well well. The little heiress I've heard about is just that-little." Astoria bared her teeth, but didn't say anything. "Feisty, are we? Tsk tsk, that's no way to treat your king." The way he said 'king' made both Astoria and Ashun's fur bristle. "K-King?" Astoria asked. "What do you mean?"
King Umbra laughed. "Well, I'm taking the Lupora kingdom under my rule. What else?" "Who will watch the Ryori kingdom?" The King laughed again. "Me, of course. What, you really thought that I would be in charge of this insignificant kingdom?"
"Look," Astoria whispered to Ashun, "Queen Sonne looks.. dazed." "Whispering, are you? I wouldn't do that in the presence of royalty." "We are royalty!" This time, it was Ashun. "Sonne, take your son and make sure he behaves."
Astoria eyes widened. "W-Why is Imperitus here?" "He is to rule over the Lupora kingdom, Astoria." "That's my job!" King Umbra eyed the young Lupora. "Your only a mere hatchling. Imperitus will take over the job until you are fit to rule. Then, you will marry him." "WHAT?!" Astoria was standing now. "Where is my mother? My father?" "Dead," the Ryori dismissed as if they were talking about the weather. Astoria's eyes widened and she leaped off of the chair, racing to her room.
When she reached her bed, she immediately started crying for her lost parents.
Grr, I feel attached to Storm and Star.. why did I kill them off again? Oh, yeah, because plot. I had to copy and paste Imperitus' name because I was way too lazy to actually write it x3. Also, Imperitus means "rude" in Latin. I think that's guess enough for you to figure out his personality. His looks are in my saved generator designs, like usual.
