Splash spread his dragonfly wings and sped along through the waters of his underwater kingdom. Soon he reached the small icy island where a friendly family of Large-Paws lived. (Morkkos) He raised his head above the water and called out. The male came out of the den and looked at Splash. "What is it?" he called to the king in his deep growling voice. "My friend," said King Splash, "The Flower-Sprites (Aeridinis) are back. The Time of Colors (Spring) is here! You may wake you family from this sleep at last." The ruler of the Wave-Makers (Sylvorpas) dove underwater and leaped out, calling to the Alpha of the Wild-Hounds (Luporas) "The Time of Colors is here!!!"
