I have two adults: a Bulbori and a Zolnixi. I don't have any prices set because I don't really know what a good price would be. As you probably noticed, I don't know a whole heck of a lot about breeding on this site so any advice is appreciated Here are pictures of the pets in question.

Hi! I'm pretty new too, but here's what I've worked out so far:

First, it would probably be helpful for breeding if you had your pets genetically tested. To do it yourself costs real life money, cuz you've got to buy a test from the Diamond store, but fortunately there are people who will do it for you for a fee! Over here is Miitake, who did my pets for me, she charges 300 gold per pet and the instructions are on the first post.
You don't have to gene test your pets if you haven't got the money right now, since they're both showing a mutation you won't be guessing completely blind. It's just easier to work out some kind of price if you know what they're carrying.
For example, if you have a Zolnixi who showed Tri Tails, people would pay for the Tri Tails gene (with maybe a few gold extra if the pet was a nice colour), but then you might discover later that your Zolnixi was also carrying Talismans and Butterfly Wings and Advanced Runes, but you hadn't been charging people for those genes! Not only would the people who had been breeding from you have been getting extras for free, but people who were looking for them might skip past your pet because they didn't know.

Secondly, it's basically up to you how you price for breeding. At the moment mine are set to be 1g for no traits, 50 for the first carried trait, 100 for 2 carried, 200 for 3 carried. I only have a couple who show If you want more suggestions though, look around at other people's stables to see how they've priced their pets.

And finally, females tend to have a higher breeding price than males in general, because female Sylesti can only be bred once every few days, so if you breed with someone else's female pet, then they can't get any money from her or breed her themselves for days.

Also, I have some compatible Zolnixi, if you want to breed with them Both Suijin and Kaze carry Talismans like your Zolnixi, and are 200g and 300g respectively. Let me know if you do, I want to see if the baby is cute

Thanks for the info! That helps a lot actually. Just one question: Since these two are captured uncommon pets they're only going to have the one trait showing/carrying, right? So is there any real purpose in gene testing them?

Helps to be certain what's there and what isn't. c: Shows others for sure that something's visible and if something carried (which can't be seen unless tested) is there.
