So I managed to get myself a pair of Flickering Vulnyx, one from the wheel and the other a trade for my Island Flower Aeridini. Thing is I have no idea what to name the two...

So I thought to myself:
"Willow, why don't you make a contest and let the wonderful
people of Sylestia decide on some names for them."

Prize
The prize for having your name picked will be a choice of an offspring of any of my wheel pets (either from this fest or any others I have). Yes this does mean that if I pick both your female and male names you can pick twice, I hope not to do that, but some people are epic name givers..


Rules for this game:
1. You are only allowed to come up with five names for each Vul (if you come up with a cooler name after your have made your five you can edit, but please put why you are editing like such:

2. You do not have to ping me when you post (IDC either way)
3. Please be courteous of other players, and don't go off at them if they have a similar name. (think of it as great minds think alike)
4. Do not try to bribe or beg me to chose your names, if this happens you will automatically be disqualified.
5. Just to make sure you read this, do you think I should do a breeding thread of all my wheel pets, it would be a costs a bit/egg swap thing but still interested ta see what you think.
6. Be aware that although I am offering a wheel egg as a prize, I do have lists and although you will auto go to the 'Top' there are a few people who have rights over eggs first. (don't worry though if you chose that list you will auto go under them and not to the bottom of the list)

7. Please get creative with your name, Tom and Jerry may be cool, but they are not what I am looking for. (and that's all the hints you will get from me about naming)

If you knew me I like Japanese names, I find them very lovely. Most of my pets have Japanese names that mean something about them. Example: Akane means deep red and my pet is red. So, right now, I have one pair of names for you:
Katsou-Victory hero, manly [M]
Miyako-Beautiful night child [F]

First thing that popped into my head:

(Male, then female, as they are presented)

1. Cheops and Khufu

2. Ra and Hathor

(Those two were because they just look so Egyptian to me. lol)

3. Mysrail and Shama

4. Annu and Sheva

5. Leloch Miw and Sheshai Miw

I enjoy looking to other languages for names, so all of mine are literally words in other languages, or adaptations of such.

Male names:
1. Volito - Latin for flicker or flit
2. Corusco - Latin for flicker or glitter
3. Zittern - German for flicker or shake
4. Varelus - Estonian for flicker
5. Migac - Polish for flicker

Female names:
1. Flamma - Latin for flame or fire
2. Caleo - Latin for glow or burn
3. Floya - Based on the Greek word for flame
4. Liekki - Finnish for fire or flame
5. Fiamma - Italian for flame or blaze





And yes, I think you should make a thread for your wheel pet's offspring, you have lots of gorgeous pairs and I know I would love to trade with you and/or buy some~
