I got a really good idea for a fan fic, but I'm not sure how to approach it.

This is more of an action/romance sort of fan fiction.

Now do I...

Focus more on the action and not the relationship?

Make the relationship obvious from the get-go, or have it be subtle, then more obvious as it goes along?

Should I have more than one person interested in the main character?

So far the main character is already in a relationship, but they decided that they weren't good for each other and separate. Now, the secondary character (love interest) thinks that now is his chance to get with the main character.

This is why I ask about maybe adding a second person interested in the main character. To bring out more of a competition between the two.

I dunno, what do you guys think?

Any good story has a conflict with the main protagonist, any GREAT story has the main protagonist have a conflict within themselves... Outside conflict is good but inside conflict is better xP it makes the character... More relatable and believable hehe I hope this helps!

(so if anything... I think you should create 2 love interests BUT have the main character confused on who they should pick but not wanting to let either of the love interests go)

I guess it would make the story more in depth and let the readers know more about the main character...

Thanks for you advice! ^u^

I would suggest trying to make a healthy balance between action and romance. Don't make the romance take over the plot. It has ruined many great plots like that.

Hope I could help.
