Hey, all. We have created an official Discord server! In addition to our other social media accounts, we will use this for announcements, upcoming updates, and teasers. It will also serve as an alternative way for players to communicate with both players and staff.

While anyone can join the Discord server and follow news and announcements, you must become a Verified Member in order to communicate in the server. Fortunately, it is very easy to become a Verified Member!

While logged into Sylestia, just simply navigate to your Account Settings. From there, you should see a section called, "Third Party Accounts". Within that section will be a big button to "Link Discord". Click that and then you'll be taken to Discord's website to authorize your account. Once authorized, you'll become a Verified Member in our Discord server!

It will be useful to share news and updates, especially during times like the Faelora Revamp downtime. That was a really long extended downtime and it would have been nice to have a way to directly communicate with the playerbase off-site during that time.

I also plan on integrating automatic notifications into the Discord server, such as when a Shared Garden Event begins. I am working on this right now and should have it ready very soon.

And I'm sure we'll think of other useful things to add to it as well. =)

Oh, no, I'm not saying the discord itself won't be useful. I'm saying me as an individual. I'm in like 5 dilscord groups but only use one. My ESO guild one to join trials and dungeon runs lol

When there are news announcements to be made, it is done with a site wide Forum Ping. I am sorry, but there is no way to disable these as it is our way of sharing news and updates with players.
