I was thinking of going with the detective, but I can take the villain if you'd like? I've got ideas either way :>
As for the form, here's the one I generally use. We don't have to do Personality/Backstory if we want to figure those out IC, and we can also add a powers section if you want.
Alright, I can go with the Villain. We can focus on if we include power later into the rp
Name:
Aspen Turner (Alias: Obsidian)
Age:
28
Gender:
Male
Appearance: (This is a place holder till I get a relatively close face claim for him.)
Obsidian is around 5'10, with long messy black hair with he tips dyed red. He has snakebites (The piercing). He isn't built super muscular, but has a somewhat fir appearance.
Personality:
(In rp)

Awesome. I'll leave his personality for later as well. Should we start with a scene that establishes Aspen as a villain, or maybe one that marks the beginning of their cooperation?
Emerson Fletcher -- Twenty-Six (26) Male (He/Him)
Appearance: Short straight hair, brown. 511 with a lean, lanky build, and brown eyes.
Backstory:
- Grew up in a middle class neighborhood
- Befriends (?) Aspen. Fletcher thinks they're very close, definitely best friends from his perspective. Probably looks up to Aspen.
- Was probably bullied at some point in middle/high school.
- Emerson joins the force, a far cry from his original plan of becoming a pediatrician. This man absolutely loved his past career plan.
- Runs himself into the ground searching. It's been so many years, but there was never a body, and he can't give up on his best friend. He can't.
- Used to love the heroes in the city, but now hates them because they're a pain to work with. Definitely not because the majority haven't helped with every day crimes, nooo not at all.
Aspen disappears somewhere in this.

Let's start with them establishing the cooperation. Should I start or do you want me to?

(Not at all!)
"I need your help.."
Obsidian was startled by the sudden question. And the words coming from a detective none the less.. wanting help from a villain..
"So your saying you want me, a villain, out of literally ANY of those 'heros' on the streets to find someone who is most likely dead"
That's how it started. A detective asking a villain for help. Obsidian couldn't help but laugh. The request sounded like such a joke to him.
"One, I couldn't care less. You've attempted to have me arrested multiple times. Two you're risking your entire career just being here talking to me. Doesn't that mean anything? What's in it for me anyways?"
(Sorry if it's not the best start, wasn't sure how to introduce Obsidian)

(Ahhh, I love it! It's given me so much inspiration, I love your writing, and having dialogue to build off of is amazing! Also not sure how I ended up with this many words, I'm definitely going to go down next post. ^^;
"I need your help."
It's called out, hesitant and pained, like the admittal hurts the detective. It does, like pulling out milk teeth. But like pulling milk teeth, it's necessary for the growth of something stronger, or in this case, the recovery of that something, of Aspen.
Aspen who was there for him, when he had no one else. When he was trapped inside the shell that the other boys had built for him, clawing at its walls with trembling fingers and scared, so scared, so suffocatingly scared. The memory still tastes like humiliation on his tongue, as does his request, as does Obsidian's response, but Fletcher pushes through and shatters the walls that his pride has built.
For Aspen, he thinks, he repeats. It's a mantra in his head, an obsession that he's lived by ever since his best friend disappeared in the wreckage without a sign of a body. For that obsession, he'd give anything.
There's a thousand responses leaping to the tip of his tongue at the villain's laughter, at his mockery (anger, a threat, a rebuttal about how the heroes haven't been any help-)
"You don't have a man on the inside yet," Emery says, and he hates the way the betrayal tastes on his tongue, even as he hates the job he's undertaken. He hates that the skills he's learned have only seemed to widen the distance between him and a far-fetched discovery, even as he loves seeing the people he's helped. He was never meant to end up here, yet here is anyways.
With thin lips, he stalks forward despite the disgust written plain across his face. "I'd give you schedules, give you warnings. When they find your backers, I'd destroy the evidence."
He moves in closer like it's a challenge, like he can cage the other in, shoulders hunched in a mix of hostility and desperation. A part is for Obsidian (what do you want?), and another is form himself (what wouldn't I do?), but the detective manages to shield his anguish from the other despite the way that it rolls beneath his skin.

Obsidian couldn't help but think about the offer... an inside man could surve useful, yet a big risk to himself. This detective.. desperate enough to sink low enough to make deals with the likes of himself. It gave him a strong compelling feeling. He could sense the hostility coming from the others voice, yet how he hesitated as well.
"Hm. That could prove useful. Only, how do I know you won't turn the second the jobs done.. Hmm?"
He questioned, his eyebrow raising slightly.
