X dives into the full lake and sees Yasa and his family sinking fast. He takes hold of Yasa's other hand and paddles upward. These people still had air in their lungs, and water made everything lighter. X Hoped Yasa woke up, as he struggled to get them up

Yasa was panicking. He kicked and clawed, trying to get to the top of the lake. He lets go of his fathers hand, not meaning to. He struggles to free himself from the boys grip. He was running out of air. He gasps but only gets a lung full of water....

Mia quiveres uncontrollably while Destin is wrapped around her face, trying to his best effort to calm her. His efforts are fruitless. Mia takes him off her face, and puts him on her shoulder. She thumps to the ground, curling up into an upright fetal position. Tears leak from her eyes. She saw the corpse. Destin flops on top of her head.

X wraps his arms under Yasa's shoulders and pulls him onto the higher lands. He lays him down and pushing on his chest, hoping he will cough up all the water. It was easy to save him when they weight was gone. He makes sure to hold him down so he could not jump back in

Somehow... he finds it funny that she thinks a missing arm would make her life worthless, and despite the situation, chuckles. "So what? Losing an arm doesn't make your life any less worth saving - you're still alive after all, and every life is precious." It was one of the many things he remembered form his mother's teachings, along with other mottos he lived by.
"And don't ever give up living. Our parents brought us into this world, so remaining alive and living out lives to the fullest... well, it's our way of saying 'thanks'." That? That was his own reasoning, one that both he and Reia came up with together.
Reia... He glanced up, and breathed a sigh of relief when he noticed how quickly the lake - he should call it a lake now right? Since it was starting to fill with water - was filling up. It wouldn't take long now before they could reach land safely.
