Kit nodded, "I know." she said hugging her daughter, Val smiled and hugged her mom back.

Red sat down. Nothing gets past you, huh? Scarlet chirpped and landed on Kit's head.

Red glanced around the room, imitating confusion. ....You mean Hedge? He scratched his neck. Eh... forget it. I'm a bit sleepy now, so we can talk tonight, okay?

Kit nodded, "Sure." she looked at Red suspiciously, Val sighed, Hedge brought over some drinks and cookies.
