There was a tapping on the window on the other side of the room. There was curtains in front of it.

(*meows*)

Dexter got up carefully, coming and parting the curtains a bit to peak out.

On the ledge was a cat, but not your average cat. It stood like a human, about the same size as Dexter, if not a bit bigger. It had yellow ish fur and bright blue eyes. It carefully opened the window, pushing past Dexter as it stepped in the room.

He yelped, scared and moving away from the freaky thing.

"My name is Misery! Nice to meet you Dexter," The cat said, voice high and sweet sounding, "I came to visit Bella! Been awhile. How about I help you out? How would you like to get her do anything you ask? Sounds neat right?!"

He was surprised, but didn't see that as such a horrible offer. "Hm. Doesn't sound half bad."

She smiled, offering a paw to shake, "Sounds like a deal! You'll have an hour! Then I get to play my game," She grinned, showing off pointy cat teeth.

He shrugged, taking her paw and shaking it. "Alrighty."

She smiled, eyes glowing as a clock tattoo appeared on Dexter's hand. Misery climbed back out the window as the clock on his hand started ticking.
"Have fun! Your time starts now," She said cheerfully.

He eyed the tattoo, nodding. "not half bad." he then looked at Bella and knelt down. He gently shook her shoulder.
