Shade's brows furrowed. "You sure?" He asks,voice softened just a little bit as he reaches over and runs a few fingers over the coloration. "The colors changing quickly and drastically,does this hurt?" He still moved forward to keep the distance the same between them,not satisfied that Riley's facial coloration was okay.

Rhia seems to like them. She allows one to crawl up her arm, watching it with a faint smile.

"I'm fine!" Riley protests, putting up his hands to protect himself from Shade. Riley didn't know what Shade was feeling so he couldn't jump to conclusions and so he wasn't going to kiss the dragon child. Did you seriously just think that? Kiss? AAAAAaaah, I'm going crazy. Riley sits down on the edge of his cot, heart racing, blushing further. I should learn to control my emotions.

Shade heard how protestic Riley's voice was and he turned sharp and angry again,pulling back as he put his hands up to protect himself from Shade. He knew when he wasn't wanted close or around. "Fine then." He huffed,glaring now at the floor as he moved away from Riley. He wasn't hurt....but he felt...odd about this time.About...Riley and how he'd seemed to try and protect himself from Shade.And this time he hadn't even shot a thread out,usually people only did that when he lost his sanity for a bit. He didn't think Riley had any reason to fear Shade,but then again he could have just lost his mind for a moment and not known it. Idiot.What the heck where you hoping for,a fricken friend?! Friends.Are.Worth.Nothing...yeah.Nothing.

"I'm sorry, I just..." Riley says quietly, trying to keep Shade from leaving. Riley liked Shade's company, it was just that Riley had panicked since he didn't want to offend or anger the dragon if he had followed what his emotions were telling him to do. "It's not your fault. I'm just..." Riley tries again before realizing he didn't know how to explain. Oh, you're a fool, you just failed. Shade hates you now. "Please don't leave me?" Riley pleads.

She watches her for a moment before stabbing one with a pencil, then slowly dismembering it leg by leg. Carefully, since its so small.

He looked at him and seemed a bit shocked. "You want me? A cold blood killer who could rip your heart from your chest within a snap if I wanted,to stay?" His voice was sarcastic but his eyes showed that he was curious as to if Riley actually didn't want him to go.

"When you put it that way, I might rethink, but that's not what I think of you as. Um, I want you to stay... because you are... my friend." Riley takes a stab at it, nervously stumbling over his words, not exactly sure if Shade was going to brush him off or actually rip his heart for his chest.

She takes a couple pieces of paper and begins doodling. Shes drawing a spider crawling along the side of one page.

He sighed and came back over and sat right next to Riley,unaware that it was well within the personal space of a human. "Tch.We're acquaintances,friends would be a little to far kid. And allies if I can say that,that I know we are." He said,seeming not to understand the real concept of humans yet. Friends are worth nothing.Great,now I'm worth nothing.At least less than I already was.This kid's stupid...but...not entirely.He's just not as stupid as all the others,that's all...but...what does he mean by friend? SHUT UP! Nothing different than a doormat,to be used and walked all over,then shaken out when you get to dusty.
