Hexic transformed back into a human, trying to use the wings. He had done birds before, so hopefully he would be able to work these without embarrassing himself.

The metallic wings unfolded from his back, and he said, "I hope you can fly fast."

Basil was a bit panicked. she had no idea what was going on or why they needed to find the doctor. Wasn't iris the one who wanted them all dead? Going straight to the person trying to kill you doesn't seem necessarily logical. Basil swallowed hard before trying to use the wings. She had a thing about heights. They made her very dizzy and nauseous. oh god oh god oh god OH GOD! she mentally panicked.

"Let's go. And I have something I'll steal, for my tail." Ibu said slyly.

Hexic saw Basil panicking. He still wasn't too sure about the wings, so he walked over to her.

"It's okay. I've flown tons of times. It's amazing!"

"Basil! Don't worry!" She flew over to Basil, holding her. "I've got you, you won't fall."

"We better go, since these wings won't last forever." Ibu said, leaping into the air and shooting up, followed by Puri and Uya.

"Try me." Flight came easy to Scias, he had taken the form of birds before.

X on the other hand found it a bit more difficult, not quite grasping how they even appeared on his back or trusting them anyways. He shrugged off the magic after a moment and shifted to a large, human-sized crow, his armor shifting with his form. And after a few experimental tests of real wings, he took off rapid flight and landed on the deck of the airship with a triumphant, echoing caw.
