One of the basilisks dragging him calls out something to a tundra pouka with a bow strapped on her back. She comes over and sniffs him, then says something to the basilisk. Both basilisks let go of him, leaving him with the fluffy archer.

He quickly pulled out the tablet with his tail and typed before they could stop him. *im not here to hurt you! Im bringing this basilisk back to her home! She can tell you herself!*

Her scarlet eyes calmly meet his. "We know that already. But we're under orders to strike down any arials that fly overhead. You're gonna need to stay with us for now."

He blinked, confused, and typed, *wait. You do?*

"You don't need to type. I speak arial." She responds calmly.

He nodded and tucked the tablet away. *how do you know?*

"How do I know what?"

*how did you know I was going to bring Kira home?*

"Not many other reasons for an arial to stray so far from their city." She shrugs. "Not for any non-soldier, anyways."

He nodded.
