Ian held her tightly. "Shhh, shhh. Don't worry, I'll take care of you. I promise. Let's get you home, you need rest after tonight." He said softly.

Kiara nods in agreement and doesn't protest. She holds onto him. Her hands curl into fists as she cries quietly.

Ray rests their head on Jack's shoulder. They didn't want to fall asleep in case something crazy happened again, but they were tired.

Ian walked back to her house, swearing silently that he'd protect her no matter what. He didn't put her down even when he came inside.

Jack rubbed Ray's back. "Shhh, just rest. I can stay up; that's what i'm trained for."

Kiara didn't mind being held right now. She needed someone to be with her.

"... Ok. Thank you so much." Ray thanks Jack, letting themself drift off to sleep.

Ian took her to her room and sat on the bed, rocking her back and forth.

Jack nodded.

Kiara fell asleep, feeling safe and warm in Ian's arms.

Ian smiled just a little, glad she was able to sleep. He frowned then, missing Parker already.

Kiara was able to sleep a few minutes at a time before jolting awake again, fear waking her up. Then she'd calm down enough to fall back asleep only to repeat the cycle. Kiara missed Parker too. Parker had been her brother and so, though he had been a tiny bit annoying during his life, his passing made her sad.

Of course it would. But Ian was there for her, not sleeping a wink and whispering comforting words for her when she'd wake.

Kiara gave up trying to sleep after a while. She hugs Ian and thanks him and apologizes for no real reason.
