Kurt swallowed hard as he felt a few tears well in his eyes. Talking about her hurt. "Sarah. . ." He managed to choke out quietly squeezing her hand a little as his other fell limp beside him.

Katherine's heart sank. "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked...I-I shouldn't even have done that..." she managed to get out. Feeling extremely sorry for what she did, she hadn't meant to make him upset or anything, why did she even do that, she thought to herself. She felt his hand squeeze hers and she took her head off his chest, sitting up, looking at the bed in silence.

Kurt swallowed again holding her hand tightly. "N-no... It isn't your fault." He said quietly swallowing again as he rubbed the back of her hand.

Katherine sighed "Yes it is...I kissed you, remember..." she said quietly, feeling his hand tighten on hers as she sat there. She didn't look at him as she calmed a little, not much as he rubbed the back of her hand again. Her hand slightly tightened on his.

Kurt frowned. "I don't ever want to hear you say that again... Ever." He said firmly. "You only kissed me because you l-l..." He started his voice quitting on him. He cleared his throat before continuing. "Love me." He said quietly as he looked down at their hands squeezing hers again.

Katherine tensed a little, did she tell him that or did he just figure that out, she thought to herself as she remembered telling him when she was drunk. She shut her eyes for a moment before opening them to look at their hands as she felt him squeeze it again. "That doesn't make it a-any less my fault, if anything that makes it more my fault..." she said quietly, gently squeezing his hand back. She did love him, but he couldn't love her the same way. "You only kissed me earlier because it made me happy, but w-why don't you do something you want for once...not what i want."

Kurt sighed sadly. "I thought I said I didn't want to hear you say that again." He said sadly. he stared at their hands his face expressionless as he thought. "I have nothing left that I want..." He said his voice sad and bitter towards himself.

Katherine closed her eyes, cringing at his words. That stung. She knew it, he didn't want her, only Sarah. She only reminded him of her. She stared at their hands, holding in a few tears at the thought. Blinking the tears away, she kept staring at their hands, her face turning blank. Hiding her emotions as she sat there, completely silent and frozen in place.

Kurt's eyebrows pulled together in thought. How could he say what he wanted to without making things worse. "Katherine..." He begun trailing off as he thought. "I may not know what I want but... Making you happy and keep you safe is helping me pick up the pieces in my life." He paused for a moment before swallowing. "All I know right now is that four days ago I woke up and went to work like a machine... These last two days, I woke up thinking what could I do for you today." He leaned towards her a little his forehead against hers. "Please don't make me go back to being a machine. I care about you more then you know..." He whispered his eyes closed in pain.

Katherine tensed a little before relaxing. She opened her mouth to say something, but it didn't come out, nothing did. She felt his forehead against her, listening to the last thing he had said. She looked at his closed eyes, wanting to see them. She moved her free hand to gently rest on his cheek "I won't...I promise..." she whispered, gently caressing his cheek. Her hand tightening on his a bit.
