D was trying to get to a wobbly stand, but her wings were limp so they threw her off balance; not to mention a good bit of them was ripped off and so they weighed less than before.

D heard her voice and seemed less panicked, looking at her and steadying herself at a sit with both hands on the ground. She swallowed, then nodded a little. "y... yeah." Her voice was scratchy.
