He found an extremely long hallway with plenty of doors, and eventually, that's when he found Tiaothin, or rather, she found Jason in the library, playing keep-away with a hulking Jack-in-Irons as he stalked him between the aisles. After getting rid of the giant, she informed Jason that Prince Ash was no longer in the palace, and no one had any idea when he would be back.

Wings close and shaking from his cracks,he nods to her. "I see....thank you. I should get back to my quarters huh." His voice is struggling past the cracks in his throat.

Apparently, she could see through his camouflage. "Youre going to be late," Tiaothin purred, watching him with glowing cat eyes. "Mab doesn't like to be kept waiting." He's got an audience with the Faery Queen of Winter. Tiaothin giggled, and in one shivery motion, became a shaggy black goat, who bounced out of the room on all fours. Mab wanted to see Jason. The Queen of the Unseelie Court was finally calling on him.

"Oh...." He smiled faintly with cracked fangs after the black cat faintly, his fangs strong again but not able to be fixed. He slunk along and out, sniffing a bit to find his way. He moved quickly and smoothly, trying to keep his hoodie and pants hidden and his purple and hazel eyes faint slits that where hard to see unless one looked closely.Very closely.

A spindly bogey crouched behind a door like a giant spider, the pale, emaciated face staring at nothing through the crack. An enormous black hound with glowing eyes trailed him down the hallways, making no noise at all. Two goblins and a shark-toothed redcap huddled in a corner, rolling dice made of teeth and tiny bones. As he passed, an argument broke out, the goblins pointing to the redcap and crying "Cheat, cheat!" in high-pitched voices. A shriek rang out behind him, followed by the wet sound of snapping bones.

The corridor ended, opening into a massive room with icicles dangling from the ceiling like glittering chandeliers. Will-o-the-wisps and globes of faery fire drifted between them, sending shards of fractured light over the walls and floor. The floor was shrouded in ice and mist, and her breath steamed in the air as she entered. Icy columns held up the ceiling, sparkling like translucent crystal and adding to the dazzling, confusing array of light and colors swirling around the room. Dark, wild music echoed throughout the chamber, played by a group of humans on a corner stage. The musicians' eyes were glazed over as they sawed and beat at their instruments, their bodies frighteningly thin. Their hair hung long and lank as if they hadn't cut it for years. Yet, they didn't seem to be distressed or unhappy, playing their instruments with zombielike fervor, seemingly blind to their inhuman audience. Dozens of Unseelie fey milled about the chamber, each one a creature straight out of a nightmare. Ogres and redcaps, goblins and spriggans, kobolds, phoukas, hobs and faeries that nobody had a name for, all wandering to and fro in the shifting darkness.

He walked in and had to keep himself from staring. It was all so beautiful yet scary at the same time to him, white yellow and a beautiful shade of teal glittered on his freckle scales where he couldn't stop it. He felt bad for the humans, though not seeing any sign of distress. He faintly shook it off, knowing he was only half human and that since only Lila was a human that cared that he shouldn't care for any humans but Lila.

On the far side of the room, a throne of ice hovered in the air, glowing with frigid brilliance. Sitting on that throne, poised with the power of a massive glacier, was Mab, Queen of the Unseelie Court. The Winter Queen was stunning, plain and simple. Mab was the coldest day in winter, where everything lies still and dead, held in fear of the unforgiving ice that killed the world before and could again.

The queen lounged in her chair, surrounded by several fey who were dressed in expensive, modern-day clothes, crisp white business suits, and pin-striped Armani. Today, the queen as dressed in white: a white pantsuit, opal-tinted nails, and ivory heels, her dark hair styled elegantly atop her head. Depthless black eyes, like a night without stars, looked up and spotted Jason, and her pale mulberry lips curved in a slow smile.

He saw her too,and dang he felt stunned with how she seemed to just have power in her despite how she lounged. He felt small, his scales shifting back to normal with the softest sound of glass rubbing together. He wasn't sure if the smile was a good thing or bad. He'd seen a lot of types of smiles.A lot. It happened when your older brother had mood swings and your semi twin always seemed insane.

There were hungry stares, eager grins, and eyes on the back of his neck. Nothing attracts faeries more than fear. A sidhe noble with a face that was all sharp angles was sitting next to Mab. He, too, smiled. He looked very much like Ash, who wasn't here, who had left Jason alone in this court of monsters. The Winter Queen's chill grew more pronounced the closer Jason got; soon it was so cold it hurt to breathe. The Unseelie fey crowded behind him.

"Jason." The queens voice rasped over the assembly, making everyone's hair stand on end

Jason could feel how they sensed his fear and so he raised his chin and ruffled his wings a bit. He nodded, tho shocked slightly,as the queen said his name. He politely bowed his head, his brown hair dangling a bit around his cheeks and so it draped down and exposed his cracked horns.
