Scias stared at the net as it closed over him with nothing more than a low growl and a muttered "idiot."
He figured he could probably slip out of it if he deformed his form but he could already feel the magnetic ends of the closing mechanisms of the net messing with his senses and winced his eyes shut not to have to deal with the swirling colors in his vision. "Hope you're satisfied."

"Like I said, don't walk away from me."

Basil thought on what Cass had said. "I suppose leaving isn't that bad of an idea, I just don't want trouble. If we are leaving, then let's do it now. Some guy up behind us seems a little over interested." she said looking back at a suspicious figure that she was sure had been staring at them. "You guys ready?" she said as she began to walk forward, far enough that cass and Hexic no longer covered her.

"I'm tired of waiting for Hexic to actually reply. I'm going to the gate. Follow if you want to, Basil." She started walking towards the gate, seeing Scias on the ground. Well, now the urge to hit him upside the head is gone. "Scias, I do care about you. So stop thinking that I don't. Saras, why did you hit him with a net?"

"You said you respect me, but you're still out here treating me like I'm some kind of pet.
If you wanted a pet, why don't you go find Hexic instead?
He's pretty good at being one anyways. Literally the only thing he's good at."
Scias spat at him.
He opened his eyes slightly at the sound of Corasi's voice and sparked in fury.

Saras
"I trust you as an ally, not your judgement."

(in fairness, he is a reckless, rude idiot, but he's my rude idiot. uwu)

"Not this crap again. I always hear that, it's like people just expect me to follow all their orders, no matter what."

He lashed his tail, staring at Corasi's feet.
"And you, you really need to stay out of my head, you half-bred ape. Why are you still even hanging around here? Thought you had some magical fairy adventure to take off on because reality was getting too boring and stressful for you."

"I hope you realize 'half-breed ape' applies to us both."

"No, I don't. Staying in a 'magical fairy adventure' for 5 months gets a little boring. I'd like to stay in reality. I don't know why you decided to lash out, but that doesn't mean I don't care about you. Sure I'm very annoyed," she knelt down to meet his eyes. "But you're the one I trust most here. And if you think I'm going to let you leave without saying goodbye, you're wrong."

"No one asked you, Saras."

Scias dissipated his sparking as not to hurt her as she got closer to him and turned his head away, not to look her in the eye. His tense composure had softened some.
"I'm just tired, Corasi.. Tired of all this. Since joining you, it's been the first time I've actually had to worry about my life and surviving anything. With the army, it was just easier.. We had a contract and the people I was sent to kill, I knew couldn't touch me. Never felt like there was a gun hovering over me as long as I got results. And killing people is easy, but on a battlefield, no one in the army is expecting you to be buddy buddy as long as the job gets done."
