Knuckles eventualluy reached the bottom, and he proceeded to edge along another ledge overlooking the firey liquid. Gadget, more then cautuiosly, followed his lead.
"Are we almost there?" He asked.
"Yeah, pretty close," Knuckles replied.

Knuckles paused and glanced around. His gaze fell on a ledge, and he began climbing again. Gadget fired his hook and shot upward, landing on the ledge shortly before Knuckles did. The echidna walked over to another wall and walked along it. He paused again, examining one particular spot on the wall. He pushed up against it, and the wall gave way easily, revealing a passage way behind it. "Ok, from this point no more lava. You are very welcome," Knuckles said, entering the passage.
