A'ine smiled at him. "We're both 16. He's my twin." She said with a chuckle. "How old are you?" She asked trying to keep up a conversion, it was easier for her to talk with Orion gone. She glanced down at her scrapped legs hoping to keep up the vision that she was alright.

Alderic grinned. "And they should be met, s'mores are delicious." He said grabbing a plate he had with the gram crackers and chocolate ready.

Mitch watched everyone else interacting finishing the last strums on his guitar before turning to Ember. "So, what're you going to do for the holidays?" He asked wanting to star a conversion.

Jora smiled looking up at the stars. "Yup, there you are." She teases lightly tripping up a little on a stone before catching herself. "I still feel bad for having you leave the party." She said quietly. She did feel a little guilty about it but was still happy that he came.

"Alice and I are twins as well. We are both seventeen," Kanin replied. "It appears that we have quite a bit in common," Kanin said chuckling. He glanced over at Alice, pleased to see she looked at ease.

"With all your big talk, they better exceed my expectations," Alice said. She began to feel more at ease. Alderic just seemed to have contagious happiness.

"I'm going to visit my parents for part of the time. What about you?" Ember asked.

Orion instinctively threw out an arm to catch Jora, but let it fall back to his side when she steadied herself. "Hey, it's no big deal. Honestly, I'd rather be here than at the party anyways," Orion said truthfully.

A'ine smiled at him nodding. "Well, except that you seem to be from a higher class from where you're from." She said glancing over by the fire with him. "Seems like they're getting along." She said with a slight grin.

Alderic wiggled his eyebrows with a grin. "Well I'm pretty sure it will." He said finishing up the s'more. "Hey A'ine! Are you okay with waiting on yours?" He yelled over and she smiled nodding. "I'm good with waiting!" She yelled back. "Viola! Now tell me if it meets your expectations."

Mitch shrugged. "I'll probably go back home for a bit and visit my theater group. I think they'll have a new play out by then that I'll see if I can help out with." He said quietly.

Jora looked at him raising an eyebrow. "Oh really? Why's that?" She asked looking at his face a little curious.

"Yes, I'm glad for that. Alice doesn't get along with many people. We actually aren't of a higher class than you. Alice and I worked for the nobility," Kanin explained.

Alice took the s'more and took a hesitant bite. The chocolate, marshmallow, and the unfamiliar sweet cracker were unlike anything she'd ever had. And yet it was really good. She quickly finished the rest of it. "It exceeded my expectations. Barely. I'd better try another one to make sure," Alice said crossing her arms and smirking. "Alice, share the wealth," Kanin called over.

"What type of plays do you usually do?" Ember asked Mitch, poking the fire with a stick.

Orion focused on the lake as he searched for an answer. "Two is company, three is a crowd," Orion said, stealing the saying when he couldn't find words of his own without blushing.

A'ine nodded a little when he clarified for her. "Okay that makes sense." She laughed a little when he yelled over to his sister. "So, you and Alice have family back home?" She asked hoping it was okay shifting a little on her seat.

Alderic grinned a little at Alice. "Of course I'll start a few more." He said grabbing another marshmallow fork putting a couple on the two forks. "I'll get you two some next, A'ine and Kanin." He called over to them.

Mitch smiled looking over at her. "A lot of comedies. A couple histories. I wrote a couple plays they do every now and then." He said looking up at the stars for a second before looking back at Ember.

Jora nodded a little as she walked. "And here I thought you were a people person." She teased shoving his shoulder with her own before walking a few inches away from him. A breeze went by making Jora wrap her arms around herself more tightly shivering a little.

"Yes we do. Neither of us have been to school before. We've worked at the castle for most of our lives. Our mother is a guard, and my father is an accountant of sorts," Kanin explained. "Chesire is our god sister. The three of us were sent here so we could 'see the world'."

"Where are you from?" Alice asked Alderic. She couldn't think of a good conversation starter, so she just copied Kanin.

"Really? I'd love to see one of the plays you've written," Ember said shyly.

"No way! I never know the right thing to say. And I can't stand presenting projects in front of people. The last time I did, I knocked over the projector because I was so nervous," Orion said, hoping Jora didn't think he was rambling. He noticed Jora shivering. He was too embarrassed to ask if she wanted his jacket. Instead, he took off his jacket and draped it around her shoulders, blushing at the cheesy 'romantic' gesture. He ducked his head, staring at the ground.

(Whoa! It's an actual long post from me for a change! XD)

A'ine nodded. "That's cool how your mom's a guard, I couldn't imagine how cool it would be to live in a castle, even as a servant." She said before continuing quickly. "Me and my brother are here because he asked my parents to put us here. I'm pretty smart, like above average, but when me and my brother had tutors together he always out did me. Guess he saw I was sick of it and made them let us go." She added with a shrug. "Seeing the world was just a plus for them." She joked slightly trying to lighten the mood.

Alderic chuckled a little as he turned the marshmallows. "The real question is we're am I not from? My family owns a circus, I was their main act until they decided I needed a better education then my mother could give me." He grinned up at her. "Have you ever seen a circus?" He asked pushing his glasses up on his nose, the glare of the fire on them making it almost impossible to see his eyes.

Mitch chuckled a little smiling at her. "Well, I can see what I can do about that. I don't know how many are actually good but I do have quite a few." He said his hand thumbing at his guitar neck.

Jora felt her cheeks heat with a deep blush when Orion dropped his jacket over her shoulders. "T-thanks." Jora said her voice shaking a little from nervousness at his behavior. "If we have a project in class I think we will have it together because we're partners. And I'm fairly good at presentations, comes with being the teachers daughter for so many years." She said softly glancing over at him noticing he wa looking at the ground. "Hey. You don't seem to have trouble talking to me, you haven't said anything wrong." She said a little teasingly, surprising herself. She looked forward again pulling his jacket tightly around herself.

(Whoo!)
(Sorry it's late! My post deleted itself.)

"I understand. Being outdone by your sibling is frustrating," Kanin said, glancing over at Alice. "I'm sure you are able to 'kick his butt' at many things," he said, using Alice's favorite phrase. "What did you do for fun in the ocean? We used to play giant games of hide-and-seek in the castle. I always won once I found a way into an unused chimney," Kanin said, laughing. He wanted to change the topic, since he never appreciated being compared to Alice.

"The prince loved them. A traveling circus visited once a year. It was cool, but I am way better at card tricks than the magician," Alice said. She wasn't actually trying to boast. She was just stating a fact. At least, that's what she told herself.

"What are your plays about?" Ember asked, braiding a small section of her hair absentmindedly.

"No problem," Orion said shyly. He was finally able to take his eyes off the ground now that he wasn't in danger of blushing. "I certainly hope we're partners. You can make sure I don't get sued for breaking school property," he joked. "And I think the only reason I can say the right thing is because you're easy to talk to."

(Man! that sucks! And don't worry 'bout it. ^^ We's good)

A'ine chuckled a little. "Well, we didn't really do much besides race. I didn't get to have many friends. Most of them laughed at A'eda'n for his wings, and then I'd beat them up for it." She said smiling guiltily at him before shrugging. "He might be my big brother but I'm protective of him, especially since he didn't defend himself." She said with a smile.

Alderic chuckled. "We have a hypnotist. And flying horses that amaze the crowd with the wonderful 'special effects.' At least when we do shows for humans." He said with a grin pulling the marshmallows out handing the two s'mores to Kanin and A'ine. "There! Eat and know the marvel of s'mores." He said doing a small bow to the two of them, making A'ine shake her head smiling before biting it covering her mouth her eyes widening. "Seaweed! This thing is amazing! It's so sweet!" She yelled finishing it off quickly making Alderic laugh. "I'll get a couple more done." He said with a smile looking over at Ember and Mitch, "Yours' are next." He said getting back to the fire.

Mitch shrugged a little leaning a little closer to her. "Mostly Comedies. I think only two are tragedies." He said giving Alderic a thumbs up when he called over.

Jora bit her lip a little shaking her head. "How am I any easier to talk to than A'ine, or Alderic? A'ine knows exactly when something's wrong and Alderic is just... I don't know like everyone's best friend." She said slipping a little in her flipflops bumping into Orion before steping a little away. "Sorry." She said not looking at him.

(Sorry! I was without internet for a few days.)

"That is the way it is with siblings. You can insult then or yell at them, but if someone else does the same..." Kanin said, trailing off jokingly. Alice was like that."It is most unfair that he got insulted for being different. Why did he not fight back?" It was only then that he remembered the s'more in his hand. He nibbled it delicately. It was way too sweet for his liking. But Alderic seemed rather excited for his reaction. Luckily, Alice noticed his expression, and snatched his s'more with a wink. To anyone else, it would look like she was being selfish.

"Do you perform in them?" Ember questioned. She noticed how close Mitch was, and half of her wanted to lean into him. Her shyness prevailed as she leaned away from him ever so slightly.

"Are you okay?" Orion asked worriedly. It was the second time she had slipped. "You understand me better than they do," he said, hating how cheesy he sounded.
