"From what?" He looked at Saph, who was staring at him.

"From hybrids. Other ones that were trying to...D! They have D!"

"D? Who is this D?" he seemed a little hopeful about what the D might stand for.

Saph remembered D and sniffled, starting to miss her all over again. "Sayyyyed!" she cried, meaning she'd said they'd never see her again.

"Diana..." she said, looking around frantically. "The creatures have stopped giving chase, so that must mean..."

Saph sobbed, clinging to one of Kate's legs.

The little dragons took some steps back, worried as to why the little half and half had begun to shed many tears.

the man's eyes widened, he'd not heard that name for years. "Well then, we have to go get her." He said, sounding oddly determined for someone he'd just heard of.

"I...but..." Kate gently picked Sapphire up

"Oh, you must've been scared out of your mind. My apologies, of course. Please, let Comrad lead you to where you can rest, and I shall return." He spread his wings to fly off.

Saph clung to Kate, whimpering about how D was gone forever.

"Thank you. And be careful," she whispered.

"Comrad, home nest." Was what he told the male pink dragon before giving Kate a nod and flying off through the thick brush. And then silently he was gone.

She wasn't exactly sure why he wanted to help, but she was greatful.
